MemberHi there!
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I’m really sorry to hear about this issue. I’ve looked into your problem and it seems to be a bug. I’ve added the issue to our internal bug report. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now, but the good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a solution is available.
In the meantime you can either downgrade (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/) both The Events Calendar and Event Tickets (if you have both installed) and then wait for the fix or implement the temporary solution/fix provided here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/just-updated-plugin-and-my-calendar-broke/#dl_post-1401697
Thank you for your patience and understanding and if you have any other questions in the meantime, please let me know!
Best Regards,
Patricia

MemberHi there,
I just noticed that you were actually replying to that previous thread I linked here.
If the temporary fix suggested by Cliff didn’t help you to solve the problem (even after adding it to both Events Calendar and Event Tickets), the plugin downgrade is the best option you have right now.
If you have any other questions in the meantime, please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
Patricia

ParticipantI tried to update line 110.
When I do, I now get this error messageYour PHP code changes were rolled back due to an error on line 138 of file wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/events-calendar-pro.php. Please fix and try saving again.
syntax error, unexpected $end
What does this mean? Is there any way I can update this and resolve this issue without doing a downgrade? I do not want to lose any content… Please help!

ParticipantI just attempted to downgrade to 4.6.6
It now says:Installing Plugin from uploaded file: the-events-calendar.4.6.6.zip
Unpacking the package…Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /www/uncommongroundcalendar.com/web/blog/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/
Plugin installation failed.

ParticipantIve tried to deactivate and delete them and reinstall… Nothing is working…
I just paid to upgrade everything last week. I just want the errors to stop showing up on my page.
If someone can help me, that would be great!December 12, 2017 at 5:54 pm #1404188Patricia
MemberHi there,
I’m sorry to hear that! If you want to simply hide these warnings from the front-end of your site, please access your server via FTP, open wp-config.php and disable DEBUG by changing it’s value to FALSE:
define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );Regarding the plugin downgrade, you have to delete the existing plugin directory before reinstalling it. You can remove a plugin via Dashboard or via FTP (by removing the the-events-calendar and event-tickets folders from wp-content/plugins). Please check this article for a detailed explanation.
Regarding the code change, I’ve just tested from here and wasn’t able to reproduce the error you got. Could you please make sure that you modified the correct files and lines?
wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.php and
wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.phpI hope this helps! If you have any other questions in the mean time, please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia,
We’re experiencing the same problem. I have
define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );on my production site but the error messages still display in the month view. That line of code hides the notices for another bug, which is highlighted in this post: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/notice-trying-to-get-property-of-non-object/
Perhaps that line of code only hides notices and not warnings?

MemberHey Kevin,
Welcome to our forums! Sometimes disabling WP_DEBUG is not enough. To get started I would recommend you to add the following lines to wp-config.php:
ini_set('display_errors','0');
define('WP_DEBUG', false);
define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);Does it help you to hide the PHP warnings? Please note that a solution for this bug is excepted to be released on December 18th.
Regarding the issue associated with Filter Bar, the line of code we suggested to modify on Cost_Utils.php is not associated with this plugin, but I would recommend you to open a new thread so we can take a look.
If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Best Regards,
Patricia

ParticipantToday is the 18th. I was wondering if the solution to this bug will be released today? Please tell me how to update things…
I still have the codes all over my website. I have attempted to follow your suggestions for this, but unfortunately nothing has worked. I am not very wise when it comes to backend website stuff or HTML coding, so much of your advice has been over my head. Regardless, I’ve tried it all… PLEASE HELP!
We are using Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro for our business and company pages. We originally picked this plug-in due to the fact it was user friendly and easy to work with. We have been happy with it up until now, but the last two weeks have been a complete mess. I hope that someone can assist me with this ASAP and get things working properly. I would hate to be forced to switch to a different calendar plug-in, but this is very frustrating! We have been having issues since December 6th and we also just paid to renew our contract and upgrade everything on December 8th.
Please tell me what needs to be done on my end to fix this! I appreciate the advice, tips and directions you have given me to try to resolve this on my own, but it has not worked for us. Again, I also do not speak HTML so much of this stuff has been over my head… If need be, I am willing to give the company our login info so they can go in and sort it out for us…
PLEASE ADVISE AND ASSIST!
