Allison
ParticipantI have a pro version of the plugin events calendar installed and having some issues. Currently the calendar on the site does not show any events for the next month. Only events for the current month. Even though there is an event inputted for Valentines Day.
When I click on the month to advance or go back to another date it seems to load the popup for the location. List mode doesnt seem to work either. Did something not get loaded correctly?January 18, 2016 at 5:59 pm #1058223George
ParticipantHey Allison,
Sorry to hear about these issues. It sounds like there is a code conflict arising from your theme, or perhaps from another plugin on your site.
To help investigate this, can you first link to your site’s events page? I will look at the issues you describe first-hand and see what I can learn.
Next, can you include your system information in your response? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!

ParticipantHi Allison,
Thanks for this!
I couldn’t spot any errors right away, so I’m wondering – you mention having tried deactivating your theme and plugin, but I’m wondering if you can leave your site in this state temporarily just so I can test it in this state directly:
• with the Twenty Sixteen theme active
• with EVERY SINGLE plugin deactivated, except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar ProI know that it is not ideal to have a site in this state especially when it is live; however, I cannot recreate this problem on my own testing site. By seeing your site in this state, I can investigate the JavaScript and such more closely and see if there are issues coming from our own plugin code.
Let me know if you can do this, and when the site is in that state! I will work quickly to minimize the amount of time your site is like this…
Thank you!

ParticipantOKAY. The site is in the state you mentioned. Let me know when I can put it back to its original state.

ParticipantActually as I see it now it looks like it was a theme issue since its working with the default theme. Any idea what could be the issue with the custom theme? Javascript file or something?
January 20, 2016 at 4:53 pm #1059537George
ParticipantThank you so much for your testing this!
Yes, if things work in a default theme then it is your custom theme to blame, and as you mentioned it could be a JavaScript-related bug.
I wasn’t able to spot any JavaScript errors on my initial exploration of your site, though, so unfortunately there could be a PHP-level conflict too here.
I would recommend the following two courses of action from here:
• First, send a .zip of your theme to us if possible. You can do this by uploading a .zip of the theme to a site like http://ge.tt or http://cloudup.com – then, just share a link to this download here. We cannot support bugs in other software, including themes, but regardless I will set aside a few minutes to at least see if there’s anything that stands out as obviously the culprit. You never know, there could be a quick fix here.
• Next, since a “quick fix” is unlikely, your best bet is to contact your theme developer directly for some support attention on this.
I’m sorry about the nature of this problem; thank you for your patience and for deactivating everything on your site in the name of testing this. (By the way, you can restore your site to normalcy now!)
Sincerely,
GeorgeJanuary 21, 2016 at 9:27 am #1059996Allison

ParticipantThank you Allison!
If you haven’t already, definitely reach out to your theme developer directly in the meantime. I am not seeing anything as the obvious culprit yet, but will devote some more time to reading through the theme later today to see if I find the issue.
Thanks,
GeorgeJanuary 21, 2016 at 11:28 am #1060040Allison
ParticipantI am actually the developer of the site using Allisons account. Its got me stumped too.
January 21, 2016 at 12:09 pm #1060066George
ParticipantHey there,
Did you author the theme yourself from scratch? Did you buy it from a theme shop somewhere online, or perhaps do a bit of both (where you maybe, for example, bought a basic theme and then customized it extensively etc.).
If you did buy this theme somewhere, can you share where you bought it? There are CSS comments inside the theme that point to http://mndl.com as the source, but it’s not clear if this is the theme author specifically.
Thank you!
GeorgeJanuary 21, 2016 at 1:08 pm #1060108Allison
ParticipantIt was a theme we built based of a very basic theme. So I dont have any other kind of support on it.
January 22, 2016 at 8:23 am #1060560George
ParticipantHey Allison,
We don’t personally provide support for software that is not our own, so the theme-specific issues are indeed not ones that we can dive much into 🙁
I tried to identify something very obvious in your theme code despite our policy, because there are a few specific theme issues that account for a vast majority of bugs (like improper loading of jQuery, or the absence of a few specific WordPress functions, etc).
I couldn’t identify something like this, though that does not mean the issue is necessarily complex. I just couldn’t spot it in the amount of time I could reasonably spend on this.
I’m sorry for the disappointing news, @Allison. Please let me know what you think about all of this and what other questions you might have from here.
Sincerely,
GeorgeJanuary 26, 2016 at 10:32 am #1062627Allison
ParticipantSo I was thinking the issue could of been because I was using the free version and by buying the pro version it would resolve itself. Since the plugin is still not working with the site how do I go to cancel my previous purchase and get a refund?
January 26, 2016 at 11:27 am #1062656George
ParticipantHey Allison,
Sure thing, we can issue a refund for sure. Check out the process here to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/
Thank you,
George -
