future recurring events not limited by setting

i edited an existing recurring event, and got this msg:

You are currently editing all events in a recurring series.
42 instances of this event have been created through July 25, 2017. Learn more.

even tho the setting specifies 6 mos:

Create recurring events in advance for
Recurring events will be created this far in advance
 6 months
Recurring events will be created this far in advance

Thanks for reaching out to report this issue. It sounds like a possible bug!

I’ll try to reproduce it locally, Can you please send me a screenshot of the recurrence setting? Also, Were the events created? Or just the date and # of events in the notice were wrong?

Hey Tom,

Thanks for following up on this! I’ve tested this locally and it’s working as expected on my end. So let’s try to trouble shoot this a bit further:

1 – Make sure you are using the latest versions of both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. I would appreciate if you shared your system information with me as well.
2 – Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
3 – After this steps #1 and #2, please try re-saving the event.

If you still see that the instances created out of the 6 months limit, please send me a screenshot of the recurrence settings of the event.

thanx but it seems to have been a transient problem: after re-setting the months-in-advance param, it works as expected.
