ParticipantHey, been loading in new FB pages. I added this one amongst others (https://www.facebook.com/Bartcade/) and it has events. Yet the importer imports nothing! Please advise.

MemberHi there Michelle
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Facebook recently announced a range of changes (https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2018/04/restricting-data-access/) to their APIs (the protocols we use to ‘speak’ to their servers and retrieve event information) which are having an effect on a number of our users.
We are currently figuring things out as they continue to evolve with the Facebook Privacy Policy. For now, the best places to check in on the status of our plugin’s access to Facebook are https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/ and https://theeventscalendar.com/event-aggregator-status/.
If your scheduled imports are still working, then you would need an Event Aggregator license to continue to keep those scheduled imports.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks

ParticipantI did not create the events on FB, other people did. Can I not import other pages anymore??? That was the whole reason I used your calendar so I can create a central place for events across the country for people interested in gaming, comic conventions, etc. If that’s the case than your plugin is no longer of use to me.

ParticipantIf that’s the case, can I get a refund?

MemberHi Michelle
I do understand that frustration. We are still hoping Facebook will work out a solution for others using their Facebook Events API. Until then, you can request a refund.
We do offer 30 day refunds if you find the plugin does not meet your needs. It’s just a matter of submitting a refund request form at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/.
Thanks

ParticipantI’ll wait it out. If I do so for a few weeks and nothing is resolved. Can I still get a refund?

MemberHi Michelle
I don’t have the final say on refunds. Some of the issues around refunds relates to how far back in time that credit card companies allow us to issue refunds. Our refunds representative will work with you when you submit the form.
I do know that if you’d like to swap out the remaining balance of time on your license for another product, we are happy to accommodate that.
Thanks for waiting it out a bit with us. We’re most appreciative.
Thanks

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
