MemberHi Doug, thanks for writing in!
Not at all. The only requirement to use Facebook Events is The Events Calendar, which is a free download. Events Calendar PRO is not required for you to get the benefits of Facebook Events.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestGeoff I added the Events Calendar (free) to a test site “testing.pacificviewmarketing.com”, the problem I have is the “widget side bar” displays next to the calendar and I can’t get rid of it. take a look, I do use Elegant Themes Divi. it seems the Events Calendar plugin overwrites my settings for my Divi page, which I have set to no sidebar. do you know how I fix this, will the pro version help?

MemberHey Doug, thanks for following up!
We unfortunately do not provide technical support here in the Pre-Sales forum but, if I understand correctly, you should be able to remove the sidebar by heading to Events > Settings > Display and changing the “Event Template” setting to the “Default Event Temple” option and saving the settings.
Did you have any other questions about the features of Facebook Events? Please let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestGeoff that fixed removing the sidebar, but the plugin squeezes all my footer info together, but only on the events page? I am going to buy the Events Calendar Pro and the Facebook Events add on, if I cant get it to work right what is your refund policy?

MemberAwesome, I’m so glad that setting fixed the sidebar! Though I am bummed to hear about the layout issues in the footer.
We have a great refund policy that allows you to return any product within 30 days of purchase and it provides you access to our technical support forums in the process. If you purchase Facebook Events, please do open a thread in the forum and we’d be happy to continue the conversation there to help see what’s up. And, when you open the thread, please do share a link to the site where we can check it out.
Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
