ParticipantAfter importing facebook events for the first time, I noticed that only the venue name is importing and not the actual address, which also is not generating the Google Map on the event page. I tried looking in previous threads and saw that this was an issue a year ago but I couldn’t find a solution.

ParticipantAlso in some cases it doesn’t even import the event venue and address, even though there is one on the facebook event page.

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
Do you have a list of events or a page you can provide that has the issue?
You can add it to a private reply to this thread.
That way I can do some testing and see if I can find the issue.
Thanks

MemberOk I was able to import all 4 events and it pulled in the Venue with address.
The venue for Spice Route did not show the map, but I think that is because there is no Postal Code.
The rest all showed maps.
On your Facebook Import Settings:
Events > Settings > Facebook > “Enable Google Maps on imported events”
Can you confirm that box is checked.
Also, do these venues already exist in your venue admin and if you look at them are they all filled in?
Let me know and we can go from here.
Thanks

ParticipantYes the box under Facebook Import Settings is checked off.
These venues do not already exist in my venue admin.

MemberOk thanks for verifying.
So when you manually create an event the venue shows? But not from Facebook Imported Events.
Can you please run through our testing for conflicts guide:
Try to import events with a different theme and only the events plugin necessary to import and see if it pulls in the venue then.
Please make sure there is no venue with the same name in the admin section.
Let me know what you find out and we can go from here.
Thanks

ParticipantTried everything in the guide. Changed to TwentyThirteen Theme, disabled all other plugins, cleared browser cache, and even tried deleting Events Calender plugins and re-installing. Still no luck. There were no venue names in the admin section.

MemberOk so there is no venues at all? Can you manually create one?
What about when manually creating an event?
April 1, 2015 at 12:33 pm #952622Eric
ParticipantYes I can manually create venues. I can also manually create events and add a created venue and the map will show up. The problem is when importing facebook events, it doesn’t import the venue or address or display the google map.

ParticipantI even tried removing a script I had on my site for an email signup. Still no luck. I think it might have something to do with the php code not functioning properly and not importing or displaying venue information from facebook.

MemberHow strange, that I can import the events with venues and your install cannot.
I tried again and deleted all the events I imported from your list and made sure I was only running the Events Calendar and the Facebook Importer.
It still worked for me.
If you import any events from these two page do the venues import as well?

Can you do it while running the Query Monitor:
It should flag red in your admin bar if it runs into issues.
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks

ParticipantI tried importing events from those 2 pages and it still wont import venue. I did it while running the query monitor and there were no red flags.
