ParticipantI have had a customer report that when she purchased 2 tickets for an event but in her email there were 4 generated all with different codes. I have double checked if she had bought this event before and she had not.
I also went through the settings to see if there was anything wrong in the ticket in the event itself and there was nothing obvious incorrect.
Please help, I’m concerned we will over sell or people will give out extra tickets without paying for them.
Thank you

KeymasterHi Susan,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Are these extra tickets decreasing the stock further or is the stock remaining as it should? For example, for the customer who purchased 2 tickets, but received 4 tickets, what does the stock indicate?
Has this only happened with one customer?
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantThank you I have shared the system information that you require.
No it has happened to a few customers. It has also reduced the number of attendees by tickets that have been sent out.
Thank you so much

KeymasterHi Susan,
Does this only happen with certain events, or all events? Can you take a screenshot of one of these events on the backend, so that I can try to replicate things on my end?
In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Also, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see.
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
