ParticipantHi we have upgraded The Events Calendar to 3.12.1 and The Events Calendar PRO to 3.12. Since we have done this the ‘View as Photo’ for the current month in Events no longer works.
Check out the link: http://www.pontefractandcastleford.co.uk/events/category/events-3/ click ‘View as Photo’
It seemed to be working ok before the new updates were installed.
Are you able to help?
Thank you.

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
I took a look at your site and see what you mean.
I got a 404 error so can you please try our 404 error guide and see if that helps:
Let me know if that helps or we can go from here to resolve this.
Thanks

ParticipantHi, I reverted back to the default 2013 theme and disabled all plugins. The ‘View as Photo’ worked. I re-enabled all plug-ins and it still worked. I reverted back to the theme we use but something strange has happened:
When we go to http://www.pontefractandcastleford.co.uk/events it shows the 2013 theme?? I tried clearing the cache and I also tried on another computer? When you click ‘View as Photo’ from this 2013 page it works as expected.
I have tried disabling the Events Calendar plug-ins and re-enabling them.
Please help?

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues with the testing. I have not seen that happen before, not sure how it is even possible. I looked around and could not find a report of this happening so not sure what is wrong there.
However, you can download older versions of our plugins from your account here on theeventscalendar.com and for core at https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/
Then you can follow this guide to manually changing all the plugins:

ParticipantSorted. I de-activated all the Events plug-ins and deleted all files. I re-installed and it worked.

ParticipantI have checked the site more thoroughly and the Events still are not working.
If you view Categories which are loaded with events you cannot view as Images.
Here are a few examples:
http://www.pontefractandcastleford.co.uk/events/category/a1-football-factory/
http://www.pontefractandcastleford.co.uk/events/category/halloween/I have carried out the following:
– Reverted back to the default 2013 theme.
– Disabled ALL plug-ins except the Event Calendar ones
– Changed Permalink settings to /%postname%/Please note that each time I change this it takes considerable time changing it back as the widgets appearance changes considerably, the settings are not retained.
I do not know how to downgrade the plug-in because the Events Calendar plug-in is not available for download from your site, only the Pro version is available.
This is causing my business harm as a number of website users have emailed me, and we don’t know how to fix.
We are able to provide FTP and website admin credentials.
Please advise.

ParticipantWe have downgraded to 3.10 and it is working for now. Unsure what the issue is?

MemberHi,
I visited your site with those two links and was able to go to the Photo View for both.
I visited in both Firefox and Chrome and it worked for me.
I then visited the first link again(category events-3) and getting a lot of javascript errors on that page only.
I then tried on the Sports Live, Pubs & Clubs, World Cup, George 5th WMC, and Pontegract Castle Events category pages and they all worked for me. So it is not clear what is wrong on that one category view.
If you clear your browser cache do any of these work?
Downgrade
You can download the older versions from your account here on theeventscalendar.com and older versions of the core plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/And follow this guide for manual updates:
We are able to provide FTP and website admin credentials.
I appreciate the offer!
However, our current policy is not to accept logins or to log in to customer servers/WordPress installations.
Let me know if there are any improvements or downgrading works.

ParticipantWe downgraded to version 3.10 in order to rectify. If we upgrade to the latest version the Photo View stops working!

MemberOk glad that worked.
I was not able to reproduce the issue so I am not clear why it is happening on your site and I am not seeing it. I will be on the look out for other people reporting the issue to see if we can find a bug.
The best thing to do would be to try again on the 4.0 release on a staging site and see if that works then.
I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic on the forum and we can help you out.
Thanks
