ParticipantWe have our events calendar displaying in the monthly view. Up until recently, it showed the events in chronological order, displaying in order of earliest start time. Recently, however, we’ve resolved some conflicts with the latest update, and we now see that events are no longer showing up in chronological order. How can we resolve?
We cannot run the conflict test on this site because it is a live site – reverting back to the 2015 is not a feasible option to fix this conflict.

ModeratorHello and welcome to the forums!
Sorry to see you here on these circumstances. Before I get to testing, would you please review our Testing for conflicts guide to make sure you’re not working with a theme and/or plugin conflict?
Let me know what you find after following the aforementioned guy and we’ll go from there. Have a great weekend 🙂

ParticipantHunter,
I get that this is a first step that you throw out to people. Yesterday, there were quite a few questions about your plugin reordering the events by post date in the forums. Each one kind of had the same resolution. I don’t think it is a coincidence that this occurred for so many people. We have already been through these steps. Do you guys have a better fix or a plan to address this or do we need to customize the plugin to make it work correctly?

ModeratorWelcome back, Jason 🙂
The reason it is the first step we direct users to is because more often than not, the conflicts are either related to themes and/or plugins. We would love to be able to support conflicts for all themes and plugins, but it would be nearly impossible.
With that said, once we rule out theme/plugin conflicts, our support team members are more than happy to try and replicate the issue. Should we find an issue, we log it as a bug and put it on our future maintenance release schedule. Our developers reference threads with known bugs when workings towards a resolution.
I just checked our bug reports and don’t see anything logged in regards to incorrect ordering of the events, though you mentioned more than one customer reported similar issues. This typically means they’ve traced down the source of conflict and ruled out the chance for a bug in our plugin.
I hope this explanation gives clarity as to why we ask to review our Testing for conflicts before we dig any deeper. With that said, can you please confirm you’ve tested for conflicts? Let me know and we can take it from there.
Have a good rest of your weekend!

ParticipantHi all — glad to see this is a known issue and you’re working on it. I figured I had unchecked some box somewhere and spent quite a while trying to run down what the conflict was on my site and couldn’t find one. Look forward to seeing the fix!

ParticipantHowdy clellie,
Thanks for reaching out! This topic actually started our bug report, so it should be first on the list to get notified once things get fixed. We’ll be in touch.
