ParticipantHi there,
I installed The Events Calendar core today (from the WP repository) – which went fine.
However, whenever I try and install the Pro extension, it immediately blanks out the backend (every screen) leaving only the sidebar menu (though the website continues to run). Renaming or deleting the PRO plugin restores the dashboard to normal, but repeated attempts to install (both through the WP Plugins ‘upload’ feature and manual unzip-upload-activate via FTP) cause the same error.
Not sure what to try next!

MemberHi Simon
That does sound like a real pain!
Can you run through our Testing for Conflicts guide? Disable all other plugins, and even try using a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Seventeen. Then upload the pro plugin and see if that works.
I hope it’s just a simple conflict. That is usually easy to resolve.
Thanks

ParticipantHi Courtney,
Apologies for taking so long to get back to you, but I’ve now had time to ensure everything is fully updated and sift through the plugins to pinpoint the culprit, and the conflict appears to be with Wordfence.
It seems to play well with every other plugin we have active, but as soon as I activate Wordfence it triggers the glitch.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,

MemberHi Simon
I checked with our developers and learned that we do scan our plugin with WordFence before releasing any updates.
Can you enable WP_Debug https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG and let us know what the errors say? https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#PHP_Errors.2C_Warnings.2C_and_Notices.
We’d like to review those error messages you are receiving. Please test with just The Events Calendar and Events Calendar pro active with WordFence.
It may be helpful to see if you encounter the same results on a fresh install of WordPress with a default theme, TEC, and ECP with WordFence.
Thanks

MemberHi Simon
We are seeing this error 56 times in your log
PHP Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/spsp1457/public_html/wp-content/themes/kallyas/template_helpers/pagebuilder/pagebuilder-functions.php' (include_path='.:/opt/alt/php53/usr/share/pear:/opt/alt/php53/usr/share/php') in /home/spsp1457/public_html/wp-content/themes/kallyas/functions.php on line 71That tells us there is some broken code in your functions.php file. Probably there by your theme.
The other fatal we are seeing is an out of memory. I can see from your System Info that you have a memory_limit = 128M so I would suggest increasing that limit to at least double.
Please let us know if these areas help you get the issue resolved.
Thanks
