Hi, i noticed that events are accesibile from three different links:
is accesible from
https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/spettacolo/stagione2017-2018/larte-della-gioia-3/
https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/stagione2017-2018/larte-della-gioia-3/
other example
I can access this https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/spettacolo/un-altro-everest-2/2018-04-17
from https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/stagione2017-2018/un-altro-everest-2
and https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/spettacolo/stagione2017-2018/un-altro-everest-2
How can i choose to use second or third address (with the category inside the address) instead than the first one, that is less interesting by a seo point of view?
April 24, 2018 at 9:36 am #1514997CliffMember1)
Both of those redirect to https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/spettacolo/larte-della-gioia-3/2018-05-03, not the one that ends in “06”
2)
I do see these redirect as you mentioned.

The YYYY-MM-DD at the end of a recurring event URL is not customizable and is required.
Where are these other links appearing that you’re aware of them?
April 24, 2018 at 10:08 am #1515032davide notarantonioParticipant1. ok, sorry fo the error in trascription
2. At the moment all of my event have these three links active, and this format (url/slug for events/title/date) https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/spettacolo/un-altro-everest-2/2018-04-17 is set as canonicali would want to use for each event the link formatted like this as canonical(url/category/title) https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/stagione2017-2018/larte-della-gioia-3/
April 24, 2018 at 10:10 am #1515037CliffMemberI am unsure where you are seeing these other 2 links for each event, but again we do not support changing the canonical.
April 24, 2018 at 10:19 am #1515049davide notarantonioParticipanti see them in the site… anyway, ok, is it possible to know the part of the code where you set the canonical for events? Which file or files?
ThanksApril 25, 2018 at 12:07 am #1515490davide notarantonioParticipantanyway i would need to get rid of all this duplicates…
April 26, 2018 at 12:22 pm #1517226CliffMemberWould you be able to share an annotated screenshot, screen capture video, and/or relevant URLs to clarify exactly where you’re seeing these 2 other duplicate/redirect URLs?
April 27, 2018 at 12:25 am #1517566davide notarantonioParticipantHi Cliff, thanks for your response.
I can take a screenshot or a video, but i list you here some links, all working, pointing to the same tribe page:

https://www.atirteatroringhiera.it/di-a-da-in-con-su-per-tra-fra-shakespeare-2For each event four different links. This is a problem it’s a bit caotic structure, is there a way to simplify it?
April 27, 2018 at 11:02 am #1518048CliffMemberSorry if unclear, but the question was how are you finding these links? Are they appearing within Month View or wp-admin or one of our shortcode’s output?
April 27, 2018 at 11:09 am #1518055davide notarantonioParticipantHi Cliff, i found those links just trying by myself, and once i found them on one event i applied the url scheme to other events.
Hope this is clear
April 30, 2018 at 6:40 pm #1519714CliffMemberThanks for clarifying. I wasn’t able to replicate this just trying some URLs on my testing site.
Do all these links still work on a fresh install?
Or maybe some translations are at play here causing these?
I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply.
That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

Is there a way to have a personalization of the url scheme? Do yuo have some programmers that can let me know how much does it cost and if is it possibile?
May 2, 2018 at 3:28 pm #1521512CliffMemberI stated on April 24, “The YYYY-MM-DD at the end of a recurring event URL is not customizable and is required.”
And, in a separate reply, “…but again we do not support changing the canonical.”
You may reference our documentation and list of known customizers, but, again, the thing you’re asking for is not customizable.
You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.
