ParticipantHello,
We are currently on Version 3.9.3. After upgrading to any higher version, we can no longer see any of the events, either from the admin side or from the /events list. I’ve upgraded both The Events Calendar and the Pro add-on at the same time.
Reverting back to 3.9.3 makes the events display again.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Rachel,
I’m sorry to hear this, because it unfortunately sounds like there would be deeper issues on your site causing this to happen.
1. Can you share your “System Information” with us now that things are working with 3.9.3? Here’s how to share system information → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
2. After sharing the information, try updating again to the most recent version of everything; if the admin events are still inaccessible, can you clarify what you mean here? Do you mean that you cannot even access /wp-admin on your site? Or just the the “events” menu item does not appear in the admin?
Thank you,

ParticipantThank you for this information!
Your system information reveals The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro are network-activated. However, if you do not “Network activate” them but instead activate them on a subsite-by-subsite basis on your site network, does anything improve?
Just in case you’re not familiar with exactly what I mean here, check out the following WordPress Codex article on this topic: https://codex.wordpress.org/Multisite_Network_Administration#Plugins
Thank you,
GeorgeP.S.
It’s only one version behind, but your WordPress core version is currently at 4.3.1 – the most recent version of WordPress is 4.4.1 – try updating that just to cover all the bases (it’s also more secure than 4.3.1, so it’s a good idea regardless of issues with The Events Calendar).

ParticipantThank you for looking into this, and for your patience here!
What I would recommend from here sounds tedious but is actually a much quicker process than it first appears – to be specific, I recommend going through the complete set of steps in this article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
After EACH STEP in that process, have another look at your admin events page and see if things still do not appear.
Let me know what you find!
Thank you,

ParticipantGeorge!
I figured out that a custom MU plugin that we had was causing the problem. Thank you for telling me to do the annoying work of disabling all of my plugins. Now I’ll figure out if we still need that plugin…
Thank you!

ParticipantThank you for embarking on those debugging steps – they are indeed quite annoying.
But, alas, they’re very very useful as evidenced here.
I’m sorry to hear about the conflict but am glad you can move forward with your project. I will close up this thread for now, but come back and open up a new thread any time if other issues arise.
Best of luck with your project,
George -
