    Hi – I am looking at your products for a registration solution for races (5K and such). What I am looking for is having the ability to create an event with multiple types of tickets (early registration, general, late) but also need to have the ability to allow the purchaser to select a t-shirt size as well as accept a waiver. We also need to have birth date and birthday fields. Is there the ability to create such custom fields with this combination of products (along with Woocommerse for checkout)?

    Excellent questions and the answer is: yes, Event Tickets Plus will do the trick here.

    If you have Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus installed together, that will enable you to create as many ticket variations as you would like directly in the event editor. You can also set the start and end sale dates for those tickets to help with things like early registration and general pricing.

    From there, Event Tickets Plus also allows you to collect information about each registrant with custom fields applied to each ticket. These fields can be used to collect everything from shirt sizes to birthdays and much more, if needed. Here’s the lowdown on how that works.

    Hi Geoff,

    So in essence I will need Events Calendar Pro (for additional display options), Events Tickets and Events Tickets Plus – each at $89 per year to make this work?
    From what I saw, I will then still need to integrate with Woocommerce, as a purchasing gateway. We are also looking to have this a member site (using UserPro for peoples profiles, which can be linked to Woocommerce via the UserPro Woocommerce addon).

    Will I be able to copy or duplicate events once I have one created, so all the custom fields I am creating can be re-used? Also, if purchaser buys multiple tickets, I will be able to setup and gather the info for each person, requiring a checkmark for a waiver and their individual t-shirt sizes. Am I correct?

    I am currently looking at Event Espresso as well and they offer a test demo, which makes it very easy to see how things work together and what the checkout process looks like. Do you have anything like this or a free timed trial?

    Hi Sabine and thanks for following up!

    You will indeed need a separate license for each plugin. I will note, however, that the only licenses you need here are for Events Calendar PRO and for Event Tickets Plus. Both The Events Calendar and Event Tickets are completely free. Each license grants you access to plugin updates and support in the forums here, but you do not need to renew every year in order for the plugin to continue working as is.

    Absolutely. Event Tickets Plus does allow you to create fieldsets that can be re-applied to future tickets.

    That’s totally correct. The link I referred to above has more info on that as well.

    For sure! While we do not have an interactive demo online, all our products come backed with a full refund within 30-days of purchase, which should give you ample time to test drive the plugins on your own site to see if they are a good fit.

    Thank you Geoff,

    I hope you are well this morning. I have one more question. Event Tickets Plus works with Woocommerce. I would like to verify that this is just the standard Woocommerce and not Woocommerce Tickets, that will be needed to get the payment portion working with Event Tickets Plus.

    Also, since we will be creating user profiles for the buyers as well, we are looking to use the UserPro addon for Woocommerce, to integrate the 2 and have one user account profile. Do you know of anybody having used that solution or are aware of any issues?

    Hey Sabine and good morning!

    Definitelyย — I am indeed referring to default WooCommerce alone. Event Tickets Plus integrates directly with it so that the tickets you create in Event Tickets Plus becomes Products in WooCommerce, which can then be purchased via the WooCommerce shopping cart. No other WooCommerce add-ons are needed for the two plugins to work together right out of the box. ๐Ÿ™‚

    That’s an interesting question about UserPro. I haven’t personally tested that out with our products nor have I come across other examples here in the forums. What I would suggest doing is giving it a go and then exercising our refund policy if it doesn’t work out. I often find that testing plugin compatibility is better when it’s done in my own environment, so this will definitely give you a chance to do that.
