PLEASE LEAVE FOR SUPPORT
Reporting the same issue as: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-slowing-down-site/October 18, 2017 at 2:26 am #1365203Solstice SupportParticipantIf I disabled all of my plugins, my homepage renders in 746 ms. If I enable just Events Calendar PRO, that jumps to 3.1 s!
I should add that currently I only have 2 events and so it’s not an issue with too many entries.
Also, I’m running everything in development locally as sole developer. This means that I don’t believe the issue is DB access and/or disk IO.

Thanks for reaching out again!
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

In the meantime, have a look at our Performance Considerations and see if there is anything you can adjust in order to help your site run better:

After that, you may be interested in caching, so take a look at this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/
Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

Thank you for providing me with that information. Although it sounds like you have already started doing this, a good idea is to start with our testing for conflicts procedure. This way you can narrow down if there is anything else at play.

We have updated The Events Calendar, so feel free to update the plugin as well, so that it can run optimally.
And finally, if you are still having issues, you may want to consider updating your PHP version and potentially increasing your memory limit. Let me know if you need more information if/when you get to this step.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
