    Dear Customer Service,

The next problem happens on the following sites of a client of mine. The events won’t load on the pages in Safari. It does work in other browsers though. Only when I refresh the browser in safari a few times the page will load and is not white anymore. It looks like the page isn’t loading some files correctly. We also manually redirected the path to the jquery script. But with no succes.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Here are a couple of pages that won’t load.
    http://www.puurpermacultuur.nl/cursussen/permacultuur-ontmoetingsdag-puur-lente/
    http://www.puurpermacultuur.nl/cursussen/permacultuur-ontmoetingsdag-puur-zomer/

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thank you.

    Hello Tomas

I’m sorry that is happening for you. Has anything recently changed on the site? I just loaded the site successfully in Safari.

Is this what you are seeing now too?

    Thanks

    Hi Courtney,

I just tested the website but it still ain’t working here. I also tested it on different computers with safari. I added a screenshot in the attachment.

    Hi Tomas

I asked several others on our team to test the same issue out using Safari. They are reporting that they are able to load the page. Can you clear your cache in Safari and view in a New Private Window (File ยป New Private Window). This will prevent any extensions from conflicting.

Keep me posted on what you find.

    Thanks

    Hi Courtney,

I cleared the cache and also used a private window. But it won’t fix the problem. It’s strange cause most of the times the page won’t load, but sometimes it does. Perhaps the problem will show up if you press the link in the menu > cursussen > Permacultuur Ontmoetingsdag Puur Lente.

On the different computers I tested the page won’t load 90% of the time.

    Regards,
    Tomas

    Hello Tomas

I didn’t ask sooner because you indicated that you have tested this, but does the same thing happen when all other plugins are disabled (especially a preloader) and using a default WordPress theme?

See our Testing for Conflicts guide for more help on this.

    Thanks

    Hi Courtney,

Thank you for your response. I also did the steps you described before opening this thread. I have a jquery error in safari though. I’ll attach a screenshot with this mail. Is it helpful that I make a login so you can check the backend of the website?

    Thanks for your help!

    Tomas

    Hello Tomas

    javascript errors

I only see 2 Javascript warnings when I load either link.

To fix your Google Maps API issue, see https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/. However, I highly doubt this is the issue.

Do you have other extensions installed in Safari? If so, try in a private window and see if the errors show up still.

    Thanks

    Hi Courtney,

I added the google api key. In chrome and safari i don’t have any warnings anymore. However in Safari i got a it still gives a google api warning and a few others right now. I add a screenshot as attachment.

It’s strange i still got this page load problem since the new plugin. I have to refresh the page like 6/7 times before the page will load. I never got this issue with the old ticket plugin.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks again.

Oh And I don’t have any extensions installed in safari. I also use a private window to test the page.

    Have a nice evening.
    Bye

Wow, this is a tricky one Tomas.

Can I ask, what version of Safari are you running?

I am testing using Version 10.1.1 (12603.2.4). (Safari, About Safari).

    Thanks

    Hi Tomas

This is very unusual. Unfortunately others aren’t experiencing it and most of our team are unable to replicate the same problem. We will try a few more things but are close to the limit of what we can do to help.

Can you disable autoptimize and enable SCRIPT_DEBUG (see here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#SCRIPT_DEBUG). Neither of these steps should prevent the site from operating properly. You’ll just help us to be better able to troubleshoot (and you can revert these steps when we’re done).

I know you’ve gone through it already, but after enabling debugging, can you do another pass at the Testing for Conflicts by disabling all other plugins and using Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/ or another default WordPress theme?

Then ping us and we can take another look.

If we are still unable to reproduce the issue at that time, our final step would be for you to create a sub-directory based test site with nothing but our plugins and a default theme running in the same hosting environment.

I really hope we can narrow this down.

    Thanks

    Hi Courtney,

Thanks for your help. I disabled all the plugins again except for the events calendar plugins. Added the script to functions.php. And activated a default theme. Somehow the page is loading now in safari.

Correct me if i’m wrong, but this look like some compressed files where the problem. How should can fix this properly?

    Thanks again for your help
