ParticipantHello,
I can’t place an order in the shopping cart on Chrome or Firefox.
I have created a ticket with meal choice as additional information.
Works fine when I add ticket quantity. After selecting meal choice and hitting add to cart I get an error message in Chrome and Firefox that the Ticket Quantity must be less than or equal to zero. That of course clears out the order. Does not happen in Safari on my machine.Video demo of error: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8akTCr4bRY
What do I need to do to fix. Plugins are updated for Easy Digital Downloads, Events Calendar and Events Ticket plus.
Also tried shutting off all plugins except the ones necessary to run the shopping cart and still had the issue present.

ModeratorHey Christopher,
Welcome back and thank you for including the video of your issue. Before we proceed, can you please confirm you also reverted back to the default WP theme and deactivated all plugins other than ours as outlined in our Testing for conflicts guide?
We need to rule out a theme conflict before I can test to reproduce the issue. From recent testing for other user’s issues, I have not experienced the behavior seen in your video and I’m not aware of any logged bugs reporting similar behavior, so let me know about the results from the Testing for conflicts guide and we’ll pick things up from there.
Thanks again and I look forward to your response. Cheers!

ParticipantHi Hunter,
I did switch back to Twenty Fourteen and deactivated every other plugin. The only one that was not yours that I did not deactivate was Easy Digital Downloads. I also did not try the error on all three browsers while in Twenty Forteen. As soon as I saw it in Chrome on the default theme I assumed that the results would be the same on the other browsers I saw.

ModeratorHello,
I did a quick test to see if I could replicate the behavior and was able to do so. After some more investigating, I found the answer and a solution here. I’ll copy/paste the most important info below. Please let me know if you have any more questions and have a great weekend ahead.
Two scenarios:
If EDD is installed first and then WooCommerce is installed, WooCommerce will detect the page with a slug of checkout created by EDD and store that page’s ID in the WooCommerce options, but the content of the page will not be updated, meaning that EDD will still have a functioning checkout page but WooCommerce will not.
If WooCommerce is installed first and then EDD is installed, EDD will create a second checkout page with the slug if checkout-2. In this scenario, both plugins continue to work fine.
Number 1 is the only time that it is a problem.

ParticipantHunter,
My geek credentials aren’t nearly what they used to be. So the solution may have eluded me.
What exactly am I supposed to do to fix the problem? I didn’t see anything actionable in any of the information you sent.
The shopping cart in use on this site is Easy Digital Downloads.
I see a reference to Woocommerce in the page you linked to. Not sure why you referenced it as I’ve never had Woocommerce installed on this website and I can’t see how that conflict could exist.
I didn’t see anything that looked like actions the end user should take to clean up the code conflict that’s causing the problem.
Your continued help would be appreciated.

ParticipantHi guys,
Looking for any suggestions or a response to my last response. I’ve got a customer waiting for this answer and I’ve got nothing to tell them right now.
Please send me something. One way or the other I need resolution. Thanks.

ModeratorChristopher,
My sincerest apologies for the delayed response. And I apologize again for leading you down the wrong path. I assumed you were using WooCommerce in addition to Event Tickets Plus and Easy Digital Downloads, so my bad on that.
I went ahead and tried reproducing your problem but was unable to. I tested in Chrome, Safari and Firefox but was able to add two tickets and check out with no problems. Have you tried setting ‘wp_debug’ to ‘TRUE’ on your wp-config.php file and using your ‘Inspect’ tool to troubleshoot for conflicts?
I also checked our logged bug reports to see if any users were experiencing similar behaviors but was unable to find anything. I wish I had more information for you to work with and best of luck finding a solution. We have a list of customizers available to help further troubleshoot your issue if it comes down to it.
Sorry again about the delayed response and let me know if you have any more questions or comments. Take care!

ModeratorHey Christopher,
My apologies if I caused any confusion. When I tested for the first time, I thought you were using WooCommerce. I did experience the same behavior seen in the video you shared with me. Coincidentally, this was due to the fact that I installed WooCommerce first, then EDD on my test environment. I deleted both plugins and installed/activated EDD first, then WooCommerce. I then tested again and the problem was resolved. This is why I shared that information with you, which ended up being irrelevant.
Once you clarified you were not using WooCommerce, I retested using only The Events Calendar, EDD, and Event Tickets Plus (no WooCommerce). This time, I did not experience any conflict. Please let me know if this helps clear up the confusion.
Also, my coding skills do not help me. I can find the items you talked about, but do not have the skills to use them.
I understand, but without any logged bugs resembling the issue you’re having and the fact I cannot produce the behavior basically means there’s not much we can do here. We have a list of customizers that can help further troubleshoot the conflict.
Thanks again for your patience while we fully investigated the issue and let me know if you’ve got any more questions or concerns. Good luck finding a resolution for your issue. I would at the least set up a test environment on your local machine to see if you can replicate the behavior. As always, refer to the Testing for conflicts guide to make sure no theme/plugin conflicts are in play.
Cheers!

ParticipantSince someone may follow this thread in the future, I will add my solution.
Seems the error wasn’t with your plugin but with Easy Digital Downloads. Can’t explain since I don’t speak that level of geekerie but I swapped out EDD for Woocommerce and Viola problem was fixed.
The flow is a bit different now, and I’m back to looking for the additional client information that’s inputted but at least the transaction goes through.
I imagine that something in my configuration did not agree with their plugin because even after several recent plugin updates by EDD, the error persisted.

ModeratorChristopher,
Thank you for sending over that information. I’ll close this thread out for the time being, but please feel free to open a new thread if you come across any other questions or issues. Have a great weekend ahead!
