Nathan
ParticipantHey guys,
We are using the VamTam Church & Event theme, which utilizes your Events Calendar plug-in. (theme page: http://themeforest.net/item/church-and-events-responsive-wordpress-theme/7028545)
We use the calendar functionality heavily and noticed recently that our meta data was not showing up any longer on event pages…? (view calendar item here: http://www.superdrome.com/event/youthjunior-group-3/2016-02-19/)
We’re using the latest versions of the calendar and calendar pro plug-ins.
We’re not sure when the change occurred, but we do know for certain that the meta info used to show up. Hoping it’s a check box we’re overlooking somewhere… :-]
Ok, thanks for your time,

MemberHowdy Nathan,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us 🙂
From what I see in your system information, you haven’t upgraded Events Calendar PRO to the latest version (4.0.6) but you did updated Core. Maybe the version mismatch is generating this glitch. If the update doesn’t show automatically in WP-Admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins, please go to WP-Admin > Dashboard > Updates and click the ‘Check Again’ button. If that doesn’t help then you’ll need to perform a manual update.
Please let me know if this is still an issue after updating PRO,
Have a great weekend,

ParticipantNico,
Thanks for the response.
I did the update through dashboard, butno change.
In looking behind the curtain a little, it’s like the meta data isn’t being written…?

Any ideas?

ParticipantIf we did the manual update, would we benefit from updating the base Calendar plug-in files as well as the Pro files?
If I deactivate the base Calendar plug-in, in order to replace the files, will all the calendar events we’ve created still be there when we reactive the new one?

MemberHey Nathan,
Thanks for following-up on this!
If we did the manual update, would we benefit from updating the base Calendar plug-in files as well as the Pro files?
From what I see in your system information The Events Calendar core is upto to date, only PRO needs the update. Just updating PRO will be ok!
If I deactivate the base Calendar plug-in, in order to replace the files, will all the calendar events we’ve created still be there when we reactive the new one?
No need to de-activate the “base calendar plugin”. Anyway if you do so all event data remains in the database unmodified, so won’t loose any data.
If this is still an issue after updating, Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
Best,

ParticipantOK, so I’m pretty sure it’s a theme conflict…
Walked through the “Testing for Conflicts” post, and sure enough the Calendar works correctly with the Twenty Sixteen theme.
Any ideas on how to move forward?
I guess I’ll start reviewing your known issues thread…?
Thanks

MemberThanks for following up Nathan!
Looks like it’s a theme conflict for sure. What we recommend in these cases is to reach out to the theme author and ask if they are aware of this issue and how to fix it. Generally this is they way to got specially for premium themes that state compatibility with our products.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you,
Have a great weekend,

ParticipantNathan, I’m having the exact same issue and was wondering how you solved it? Been bashing my head against this for weeks and would appreciate any direction you have.

MemberGlad to hear Nathan 🙂
If you could share the solution for Kenna and other users to benefit from it, that would be great!
Thanks,
