ParticipantMy events page is at http://www.yourvalleynews.co.uk/valley-events/
I have just two events, both in February 2017. However only one of those events are listed on the above page, which is set ‘List’ view.
Also, I placed
Test
on the after HTML section and that does not show as well.
What am I doing wrong?

ModeratorHello,
Welcome back 🙂
I see you checked ‘Yes’ to reverting back to the default WordPress theme and deactivating all plugins other than ours as instructed in the Testing for conflicts guide, but can you please confirm this?
The reason I ask is because I’m not able to reproduce the behavior on my test website. Please let me know and we’ll continue investigating. Thanks and have a wonderful evening!

ParticipantI’m sorry. I missed the change to default WP theme.
I can now report you that when I switch to Twenty Fifteen theme the page displays both existing events. However, even if I switch to the main Divi theme (I use a child theme) I only see what you see, one partial event.
Does this mean that you are not compatible with Divi?

ModeratorHello,
I’m glad to hear we’ve identified the source of conflict. I’ll paste what we have regarding the Divi theme:
Elegant Themes has recognized The Events Calendar as one of the best WordPress event plugins on their blog in the past, but they do not specifically outline the compatibility of our plugins with their popular Divi theme. Despite that, we’ve had many users report successful integrations. We also have a knowledgebase article that helps with a common issue that comes up with pagination in Divi.
Here is the aforementioned knowledgebase article: Fix Divi theme pagination problems
With that said, there shouldn’t be any major issues with the Divi theme that would keep you from using the theme, though it may take some extra love to get them working together. I wish I was able to provide more support on the matter, but our What support is provided for license holders? Knowledgebase article states theme conflicts are outside the scope of what we can cover.
When testing, make sure WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are enabled on your site’s wp-config.php file. Any errors will display at the top of your page as you try to reproduce the conflict. You can also right-click your mouse and open the ‘Inspect’ tool to see if any errors display in the console.
Best of luck resolving the conflict and have a great weekend ahead. Cheers!

ParticipantI’ve installed and activated the “TEC Addon: Divi Theme Pagination Fix” plugin, no change.
I’ve downgraded from PHP7.0 to 5.6, no change. Both version’s error logs are attached.
I hope the logs will tell you something and you can find a solution.
I do realise the position you may have to take on not able to support all themes but Divi is not yet another theme. More than 5000 people have answered a survey from Elegant Themes specifically on Divi. Just imagine how many theme installations should be out there…

ModeratorHello,
It appears the error logs did not come through. Please try resending them and I’d be happy to take a look. I understand your point on the amount of users using both Divi and The Events Calendar and I don’t disagree with it. We typically do investigate issues if there are a high number of users reporting the same issue. I looked over our list of logged bug reports but am not seeing anything resembling the conflict you’re experiencing.
This most likely means there’s an isolated incident which the What support is provided for license holders? Knowledgebase article states we’re unable to support.
Go ahead and resend those error logs so I can compare any errors to ones we’re aware of. If I’m unable to tie your issues to what we have logged, you’ll have to resolve this matter yourself. If it’s beyond your level of expertise, there are affordable professionals who can help further troubleshoot. We have a list of non-affiliated customizers available as well.
Thanks for understanding our position on the matter and have a good evening 🙂

ParticipantSorted! I was using Default Page Template. Switched to Default Events Template and my calendar appeared.
Can you explain to me (or point to a document) where the page template or even blank page can be used?

ModeratorAwesome!
Can you explain to me (or point to a document) where the page template or even blank page can be used?
Sure! Our Stylesheets and Page Templates and Settings Overview: The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are the most relative resources I can think of at the moment. Let me know if they help clear up how those settings work and if you have any additional questions, feel free to respond. Have a great weekend 🙂

ParticipantYour first stop should be the Events → Settings → Display admin screen, where you should take a look at the Events template setting. By default you should be able to choose between these options:
Default Events Template
Default Page TemplateYou may also see other templates that are specific to your theme.
So try experimenting with these template options, and remember to save your changes!
Thank you, however, the section above doesn’t explain what the options do. What is the purpose of the selection?

ModeratorWelcome back,
I hope you had a great weekend! If you choose ‘Default Events Template‘, event-related content will use the templates included in the plugin. If you choose ‘Default Page Template‘, the plugin will attempt to display all event-related content using the active theme’s page.php template.
I encourage you (if you haven’t already) to take a few minutes and try different options so you get an idea what effects they have on your site. Please let me know if you’ve got any more questions… that’s what we’re here for! Have a good night 🙂

ParticipantThank you for the clear answer.
