Good afternoon Ernesto and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the PHP warnings creeping up on your website.
I would love to help you with this topic.

What is going on is that our plugin is unable to use certain directories for writing to its temp log file. This is most probably caused by either:

    1. A security plugin
    2. Your website’s files users and permissions setup.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

In the meantime, you should not worry about these messages as they will not prevent functionality. You could simply turn wp-debug off for the time being (in your wp-config.php file).

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello Geoff,

Thanks for your fast support, I have enabled automatically sharing system info. In my wp-config.php file the wp-debug option it was disable. Probably it is a permissions problem, because yesterday my host providers it had problems with this. Can you confirm me what are the files and folders that have a wrong permissions ?

About current template, it has developed by me across starter theme of underscores website.

    Thanks again,

    Best

    Good evening Ernesto,

Thank you for the system info and for writing back.

With that in mind, I am unable to tell you exactly which folder or files needs to be tweaked properly since I do not have access to your hosting at that level.

Sometimes it is also a matter of having the proper “owner” for files and folders (not just permissions).

The good news is that I do not believe your template is responsible for this.
It is most likely a matter of troubleshooting this very specific installation.

In fact, if you use something like Local by Flywheel and clone your site, that warning will disappear.

Unfortunately, there is little more I can do in this specific case.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello Geoff,

I have spoken with my host providers and they are studing this issue. The strange think, is that this warning is showing in frontend of the website. You can look it here.

I have created a tmp folder in hosting root, with 777 permissions too, I issue persist.

In Events->Help , in Event log section, I have selected “Disabled” option in Logging level select field.
I have checked again that my wp-config.php file has wp-debug option in false.

I understand that is not error, this is a warning, but it appears in frontend.

Can you show me another solution to inspect, please? I need to fix this issue

Thanks Geoff and sorry for my english,

    Hi Geoff,

I have fixed the issue, now warnings all appears in WordPress panel. Well When I create a new Venue, it not appears in map view, only appears Africa map. I have followed this Official support, and it continius with africa map.

In my google api stats I have trafic, APi works, and in my Venue coordinates, I have entried the exemple.

Another option, please. Can you help me ?

    Hey Ernesto,

I am glad you are making progress on this one.

Regarding your Google Maps issue, you did exactly what was required (check the documentation and the API).

I just went and looked at your site and it sounds like all is finally working. Can you confirm ?

When Google Maps issues like the one you described arise, the 2 most common solutions are:

    1. Making sure the “Use longitude and latitude” checkbox is ticked in each venue
    2. Making sure you are using exactly the same address format as the one found in Google Maps for the venue.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello Geoff,

At the moment all issues are fixed except warning errors in my wordpress backend panel. I attach you a screenshot. Another question, Is event calendar compatible with WPML plugin, right ?

    I will wait your comments,

Thanks for your support and sorry for my english

    Good evening Ernesto,

I am super glad that almost everything is solved.

The remaining problem can only be located by allocating the right “user” and permissions to the different files and folders on your web server. In other words, on a typically configured WordPress install, that warning message would not get produced.

The good news as we talked about is that this will not have any real negative consequence (apart from being annoying).

Another question, Is event calendar compatible with WPML plugin, right ?

    Yes it is.
I highly recommend reading and using the following guides:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
