ParticipantHi. No Facebook events are imported for the list of Sources (FB pages) I have. I tried to “Run Import” per source manually. I got the error in the subject.
How this Import really works? Why it is not working?June 29, 2017 at 12:09 am #1311327Jennifer
KeymasterHi Christos,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry the imports aren’t working for you…Are these scheduled imports that have stopped running? Also, are you able to import from other sources besides Facebook?
First, can you verify that you have connected Event Aggregator to Facebook under Events > Settings > APIs? If so, try clicking the button to refresh the connection (see screenshot).
Another thing to check is that you have entered your license key correctly under Events > Settings > Licenses, under “Event Aggregator”.
If the issue is still occurring after you’ve verified that the above settings are correct and tried refreshing the connection, please let me know and we can continue troubleshooting.
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantHi. License is correct.
Connection to FB is refreshed.
Imports from FB work correctly ONLY when I manually hit Import per Event page. I have near 200 sources.
I can’t do that every single day. The automatic time-triggered import is the thing that is not working. Why?
I need the automatic to work.July 5, 2017 at 7:44 pm #1316608Jennifer
KeymasterHi Christos,
Thanks for verifying that! We actually do have an internal ticket logged regarding users being able to manually import but having some automatic imports fail. Unfortunately I don’t have a timeline I can give you as to when it will be resolved, but I have linked this thread to our internal ticket so that you will be notified here as soon as we have an update. Could you please send a screenshot of what you are seeing when the import fails?
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantHi. What kind of screenshot can I send? I mean there is no visible bug. System doesnt import events in Auto.

KeymasterHi Christos,
I’m just looking for a screenshot of what you see after the import fails to help us better understand what’s happening. I’m going to go ahead and switch this thread into “Pending fix”, and we’ll notify you here as soon as we have an update.
Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience here!
Thanks,
Jennifer

MemberHi Christos,
Can you please temporarily disable the Relevanssi plugin and let us know if you are able to import your events with no problems after that?
We have other users reporting similar errors and they mentioned that disabling Relevanssi solved the issue.
Thanks!
Patricia

MemberHi there Christos,
Although what Patricia mentioned in her las reply might solve this I just wanted to share with you that a new maintenance release is out containing various improvements for Events Aggregator. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been released:
- Fix – Avoid Event Aggregator previews or scheduled imports being marked as failures.
- Fix – Fixed an issue that would sometimes render Event Aggregator options invalid even with a valid license.
- Fix – Fixed an issues where Event Aggregator scheduled imports could not run other than manually.
- Tweak – Improve Event Aggregator message regarding Facebook token expiration.
- Tweak – Support importing from URLs (Event Aggregator) where the protocol hasn’t been specified by defaulting to HTTP.
- Tweak – Added filter: tribe_aggregator_meta_source to filter the Event Aggregator import source.
- Tweak – Added filter: tribe_events_linked_post_meta_values_{$current_linked_post_meta_key} for filtering the array of values retrieved for a specific linked post meta field.

Please update The Events Calendar to the latest version, give it a few hours and let us know how things go. If you are still having troubles be sure to report back to us including system information, a detailed description of the issue (if it has changed in anyway since the original report) and steps to reproduce if possible. We are aware some setups might still need adjustments!
Thanks for the patience while we worked on these issues,
Best,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
