Julia
GuestHello,
I’ve found one issue when using the Events Calendar shortcode on a page, could you please fix it in the next plugin update?
The matter is that on the following event: jQuery(window).on(‘resize’, function() { there is an error in the javascript in the jquery.ba-resize.js file: https://www.screencast.com/t/maMUsbTbA which is caused by the undefined data.
This error can be solved by changing the code to https://www.screencast.com/t/bYUTgefboT7c
Please note that there is a need to change it in the jquery.ba-resize.min.js file also.
It will be great if you implemented such changes into the nearest plugin update. Thanks in advance!
Looking forward you reply.
Have a great day!August 30, 2017 at 1:12 pm #1342668Cliff
MemberHi, Julia. Thanks for posting here to let us know.
Could you please share the shortcode(s) you’re able to reproduce this issue with?

GuestHi Cliff, thanks for your reply!
The error occurs when using the [tribe_events view=”month”] shortcode on the page, and when any other plugin on this page is calling the event jQuery(window).on(‘resize’, function() {
Thanks for your assistance!

MemberJulia, sorry you’re experiencing this, but I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue.
Therefore, I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

GuestCliff, thanks for the prompt reply.
I do use the latest Events Calendar plugin version and the latest WordPress version.
The issue can be observed on the default Twenty Seventeen WordPress theme.
Please see the screenshot from the back-end: https://www.screencast.com/t/QJYco3GzMWUAnd here is what I get on the front-end: https://www.screencast.com/t/d8EK8ZJL4Xt
The mentioned error can be seen in the console.
Please take a look and let me know if you need any additional information.
Thank you!September 5, 2017 at 1:37 pm #1345154Cliff
MemberJulia, thanks for the detailed replies.
1) Regarding https://www.screencast.com/t/QJYco3GzMWU, why do you have that <script> on that page?
2) If you remove that script, does the console error go away?

GuestThanks for your reply!
As I mentioned in the first message of this topic the issue with error is caused exactly by the event: jQuery(window).on(‘resize’, function() {
The matter this jQuery method is used by many other plugins and it also can be called apparently on the page as it is used in scripts: https://www.w3schools.com/jquery/event_resize.asp
That’s why I asked you to change the code in the next plugin update in jquery.ba-resize.js and jquery.ba-resize.min.js files to make the Events Calendar plugin function correctly when using mentioned jQuery method on the same page.
Appreciate your understanding, hope you’ll be able to help.
Thanks in advance!September 7, 2017 at 11:59 am #1346216George
ParticipantHey Julia,
Thanks for reaching out. I wanted to follow up on this ticket to confirm that we are actually aware of this bug separately, and are trying to fix it as soon as we can.
If all goes to plan, we should be able to publish a fix for this in the next 2 weeks or so. But it may take just a bit longer depending — while it may seem like a simple thing to fix, this script touches a lot of aspects of our plugin so we need to test it thoroughly if we replace or update it.
We’ll mark this thread “Pending Fix”, which means that we’ll post an update once the fix is available.
I’m sorry for the trouble here — your patience is much appreciated while we work on this!
Sincerely,
GeorgeSeptember 21, 2017 at 11:30 am #1352920Victor

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
