ParticipantIt’s not possible to edit an order if WooCommerce order ID does not match the post ID of the order.
For example: I have an order ID of #10000001813. If I edit the order in WooCommerce the slug looks like this: http://website.test/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php?post=1813&action=edit and it works fine.
But if I edit the order from the event the slug looks like this: http://website.test/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php?post=10000001813&action=edit and it does not work.

KeymasterHi Johannes,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
Would you mind sharing some screenshots on the order that you are trying to edit? I’m not quite clear on the functionality that you are missing.
Let me know if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Johannes,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
Unfortunately I am not seeing the same results as you, as I am able to edit the order from either page.
As a first troubleshooting step, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes. You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.
If that doesn’t help, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantWhat is your order number when you are testing? Did you test with #10000000001 for example?

KeymasterHi Johannes,
I am not testing with orders on your site, as I do not have access to your site backend. It’s also worth noting that unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.
Let me know how the above suggestions go for you!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantThat I understand. But you can try with similar order number. What is your order numbers in WooCommerce?

KeymasterHi Johannes,
The order number that is associated with the test event that I have is 5755, and everything appears to work as expected.
Are you able to edit the orders, or is there a loss of functionality?
As I next step, I would recommend following our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Note that https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/ may prove helpful as well. (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi! Please try with the similar order number as I have. For example #10000005756. Then It would probably not work for you as well.
Thank you.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
Another option would be for you to install the third-party plugin, Health Check, which can mimic a bare WordPress install while your site visitors still see your site the way that it normally appears.
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
