Duplicate Meta Descriptions

In our google console we have things that require HTML improvements. We have duplicate meta descriptions (4600) and duplicate title tags (7000) that all relate to events (reoccurring events etc). Has anyone come across this and have a way to rectify? Thanks,

Thank you for sharing your system information with us.

As I suspected, what is going on is that the Yoast SEO plugin is giving each recurring event its own canonical URL.
