GuestHi, I have looked on your website and can not find the answer to my problem, which is this:
I have 4-5 people who would like to be able to synchronise their calendars. They all have different calendars/categories. And on the website I want to show these different calendars. Is that possible? So that they can have these calendars on their own phone or computer at the same time?
I am think Google Calendar could be used and then getting the data from there to show on the website calendar. But i am open for other ways. I am not sure what you can offer?
I have seen this app which can do the sorting of the different categories which I want to do: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/?source=tri.be&utm_campaign=in-app&utm_medium=plugin-tec&utm_source=readme

ParticipantHi Henrick,
We actually have a plugin coming out VERY SOON called “Event Aggregator” that will allow you to auto-import events from multiple web-based sources on a recurring basis.
However, all of the events would land on the same calendar, though you could manage the separate calendars with various categories and tags as needed.
Please let me know if this answers your question or if you have any follow up questions on this.
Thanks!
Shelby 🙂

GuestHi Shelby,
That sounds what I am looking for. But what kind of web-based sources is that exactly? Is that Google calendar fx?
And if i want to show the calendar on 2 different websites, is that possible? Would I need to use iframe or something like that or is there a better way? I guess I could also just set up the calendar exactly the same way on both sites?

ParticipantHey Henrik,
I’m not sure what you mean when you say “Google calendar fx” auto-importing from Google Calendar is supported. You can read more about the features on this page here.
To show on two different websites, ideally, you’d purchase two licenses of Events Calendar PRO and Events Aggregator and set up the calendar the same way on both sites as you said. Theoretically, you could iframe it, but that certainly wouldn’t be the most clean look or the best user experience, though that call is up to you. 🙂
Let me know if you have any further comments or questions on this issue!
Thanks,
Shelby 🙂

GuestHi Shelby,
Yes sorry, english is not mu first language, so I sometimes have problems explaining well! 🙂
I mean: Can I import from Google Calendar one time. And after that, it would auto sync the Google Calendar with the website?
I think I get the rest you are writing. So if I import different calendars with Events Aggregator, can I then also give each one of them a category, so I can show the ones I like with your filter: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/?source=tri.be&utm_campaign=in-app&utm_medium=plugin-tec&utm_source=readme ?

MemberHey Henrik,
Thanks for the follow-up! I’m replying here as Shelby is out today. Also don’t worry about your English skills, I’m not a native speaker either 😉

You can set up scheduled imports that will run periodically (every 30 minutes, hourly, daily, etc). Check this article for more details: Managing Your Scheduled Imports in Event Aggregator. Also this one might help as well Event Aggregator: Importing Events from a Feed or URL. Please note the Event Aggregator plugin will import events and update the details on them, but if an event is deleted in the source calendar the plugin won’t recognize that change!
So if I import different calendars with Events Aggregator, can I then also give each one of them a category, so I can show the ones I like with your filter (FilterBar add-on)
Yes! You can define a category for each source (each Google Calendar in your case) you import from 🙂 While FilterBar will surely help the user to filter events by category, you might want to check out this free add-on as well The Events Calendar Category Colors.
Please let us know if you still have any questions on this,
Have a great weekend,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
