ParticipantWondering if anyone else is experiencing a problem where custom code in the “Add HTML before event content” and “Add HTML before after content” boxes disappears upon saving.
The code actually remains in the database, but does not display in the Display Settings boxes.

MemberHi Adman,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We recently fixed a pretty similar issue (settings saving but not showing as updated). Can you please send over your system information so I can check if you are using the latest version of the plugins?
Are you just noticing this behaviour with the ‘before/after HTML’ fields or with all settings?
Please let me know about it,
Best,

ParticipantNico:
The html code problem is intermittent. For example, earlier today I logged out then logged back in and the html code disappeared. Re-saving settings wiped out the code completely. Fortunately, I have the code saved separately in an html doc on my computer. So I re-entered the code and saved the settings.Logged out and logged back in and the code is still visible. But I’m sure it’ll disappear again at a later time so I hope there’s a fix.
Thanks.

MemberThanks for the heads-up Adam!
Sounds like a tricky issue for sure. Please keep an eye on it and let me know if it continues to occur. I’ll make some tests in my local site to try and simulate this as well.
If it pop-ups again it would be nice to know if there are a set of steps to follow that always lead to the error. Also, if you have a staging site (or can do this with the live one) please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
Thanks,

MemberAdam,
I did some tests on my local site trying to reproduce this issue, but all the time the settings page (before calendar content field in particular) worked as expected.
Taking a closer look to your installed plugins, I see you have Wordfence active. Are you using Wordfence cache option? Any other type of cache you mihgt suspect can affect this?
Please let me know if you find clear steps to reproduce the issue,
Thanks,

I think I found the issue. I had some code that was commented out within the “Add HTML before event content”. When I removed that code, saved the settings, logged out and logged back in, the “Add HTML before event content” was still there. I’ll pay attention to this section for a few days. If the problem recurs, I’ll let you know.July 12, 2016 at 10:14 am #1138772Nico
