Display event categories in list view?

Hi,

My default calendar view is set to List. On the calendar page users can change the view to month or week or any of the other views. or they can search by venue or name.

I have several categories and sub-categories of events and I’d like them to be shown. Like checkboxes or something – customers could view all events in category X, or check several and view all events in categories X, Y, and Z. A filter system of some kind.

Is this built into the plugin and if so, how can I enable this?

Thanks for reaching out!

These features are not built into our core The Events Calendar plugin, but they are included in Filter Bar. This will let users filter by a wide variety of parameters, including sub-categories. You can also configure the filters and allow users to select multiple categories. (There is a small bug with configuring active filters at the moment, which will currently mean that users can only select one category at a time. However, the fix for this is expected to be released soon – within the next two maintenance releases – sorry for the inconvenience here!)

This will work with any of your views, and users can still search by venues or name as they can now. We also offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you’re not satisfied with the plugins, so feel free to test it out!
