Thanks for this cool function that redirects mobile users from default month view to list view.
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/different-default-views-for-mobile-vs-desktop/
We have 6 venues though so any idea if we could redirect it to list view on mobile but to keep it in the venue the user is viewing already .
The snippet you gave the previous poster works but takes you to the month view showing all venues.
So we would need to redirect http://www.eddiecatz.com/events/?tribe_venues=1373
to http://www.eddiecatz.com/events/list/?tribe_venues%5B%5D=1373
Also why is that %5B%5D being added to the url when we switch views please as it when its removed the url still works and then our correct venue name appears.
thanks

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. As it turns out, you no longer need the snippet.
Since 4.3, we offer a built-in feature for this:
So in short, I would recommend removing the snippet and using that feature instead.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

Thanks for letting me know. I just full upgraded to latest version of EC, EC Pro and Filter bar.
I set the default for desktop view to MONTH
and default for mobile to LIST but its not working. I still see month on all devices even after clearing cache etc
any ideas?
October 28, 2016 at 8:11 am #1184417Jonathan AppletonParticipantI’ve found the issue to be with the Yoast SEO plugin as if I disable Yoast then the Mobile view works.
Please can you test the mobile default view feature with latest Yoast SEO plugin please and let me know if its a conflict?
October 28, 2016 at 2:14 pm #1184690Geoff B.MemberGood evening Jonathan,
Thank you for writing back, running those tests and bringing this to our attention.
You are absolutely right! This is a bug that I was just able to reproduce.
We apologize for the inconvenience this might be causing.I will try to see if I can get a temporary fix happening.
If not, I also opened a ticket for this.Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.
Have a good week-end,
Geoff B.
October 28, 2016 at 2:17 pm #1184691Jonathan AppletonParticipantThanks so much for confirming 🙂
I wonder if its a certain feature within Yoast SEO that we can disable in the meantime… no probs – fingers crossed you find a fix in the next week or so
thanks
JonathanOctober 28, 2016 at 3:38 pm #1184727Geoff B.MemberHey Jonathan,
I actually do have a snippet to add to your theme’s functions.php (remove the opening php tag): https://git.io/vXIKX
That should allow the mobile default view to work like a charm.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

Thanks so much for that interim solutions – that works for me with Yoast SEO enabled 🙂
Superb, thanks
