Day cutoff is not working

I’m testing the free plugin but can’t get the day cutoff to work as it is documented.
I’m entering the event’s name, start date and time (14:00) and end date and time (02:00). Despite the day cutoff 02:00 in settings the event is displayed on the start date AND on the end date.
