MemberHi, Lane. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
This isn’t currently a known issue so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Sixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode). That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantWordpress is updated.. The Events Calendar is 4.4.2 – BUT the Community Events plugin is only 4.2.2 that is all that is available when I go in to my downloads? I think there is a later update correct? How can I get this?
Anyway I tried activating Twenty-Seventeen and the transparent thing still happens the formatting is much bigger but same issues. I tried deactivating plugins and same problem happens.
Not sure what WP_DEBUG is or how to activate?
I can get you access to the admin if that will help?
Thanks

MemberLane,
Community Events (CE) is at version 4.4.2 as well. However, it isn’t showing at your https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/ link because your license for it expired in July 2016. You can click the “Renew” button at https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/. Once you have an active license, you’ll see CE v4.4.2 available.

ParticipantAhh ok I see so you have to pay $89 every time you want an update after 1 year.. Wow that could get expensive?? I understand not giving support beyond a year but, not giving an update does not seem fair. What if there is a security problem? So if you were using modern tribe events and several of the add ons it could cost several hundreds of dollars a year just to run your calendar?

MemberThat is correct. Updates and support go hand-in-hand with our products.
We believe they provide good/great value for the price, especially compared to custom coding something yourself or increasing visitors’ user experience.
And I was mistaken before. I assumed it was a license expiration but it was actually a refund. You purchased on Jan 11, 2016, and it was refunded the same day with a reason of “Customer meant to purchase Events Calendar PRO”. Therefore, I’m guessing the automatic cancellation of your Community Events license didn’t happen and it was later manually caught and changed on July 10, 2016.
You can see your order history at the bottom of https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
