Hello
There is a bug with the community form validation. When you fill a date, submit the form with some empty required fields, the date is not saved and the input is set on current date instead of the date filled by the user.
This leads to users not submitting the event for the date they input if they doesn’t pay attention. Can you fix that?
Thanks

This is a bug in Community Events plugin.
Try it on your own installation, you will notice the same issue:
http://wpshindig.com/events/community/addPlease fix and avoid copy/pasting answers without testing if the problem is on your side first.
April 5, 2017 at 4:36 am #1264817VictorKeymasterHi Jean-Marie!
I’m really sorry I misunderstood your issue in the first place. You are right about the issue as I could reproduce it myself.
I have logged the bug report and linked to this thread so the team will take it into account for a future release. I will set the thread to “Pending fix” and we will let you know when the bug fix is released.
Please let me know if you have other questions.
Best!

Just to let you know: we tried the pre-release that you sent us, and the problem still occurs.
Best regards

Thanks for following up on this and for testing the pre-release!
I checked on the ticket and it has not yet been slated for a release
I unfortunately do not have a good idea of which release this issue will be fixed in. But I do want you to know that I have at least flagged the ticket for our team as future releases are getting planned.
Thanks for taking your time. We appreciate your patience.
Best,
