The schema for Familyarena.com is showing incorrectly on google search.

    Example Search: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-ab&ei=9d9cWuPNKYr6zQL5-ZO4Dg&q=family+arena+events+2018&oq=family+arena+events&gs_l=psy-ab.3.0.0l2j0i22i30k1l3.2203.5069.0.7294.19.15.0.4.4.0.128.1466.10j5.15.0….0…1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.19.1499…0i131k1j0i67k1j0i131i67k1.0.Husz7aqjHJU

Event starts at 7:30pm but shows as 1:30 am in Google Search – all events should be CST.

This was resolved in the previous update, however after the most recent update it went back to showing incorrect.

    Hi Amanda,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry that the latest update has caused your event dates to show up incorrectly on a Google Search.

I’d recommend starting off by reading through the following threads, which have some helpful information on how to resolve that issue:

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions on the topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Amanda,

I’m sorry that those articles did not help to resolve your issue.  Looking back at your previous thread, I’m not quite sure what the resolution was.

Can you tell me what it was that resolved your issue the first time?

In the meantime, I’d recommend updating your PHP version if possible.  After doing so, the next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

You guys updated the plugin again, and it resolved the issue back in November.
I’m not sure why I would update the PHP version if wordpress isn’t asking for an update.

I do see something that may be causing this –
When I exported the data from the help tab in the plugin, there is this snippet at the bottom:
WP Timezone: Unknown or not set – however my timezone IS set in wordpress.
Could the plugin not be picking up the wordpress settings correctly?

I’m hoping for a solution to this that doesn’t allow it to keep happening every few months.

    Hi Amanda,

I’m sorry that you keep experiencing this issue!  We will try to get to the bottom of it so that it doesn’t continue to occur.

If you go to Settings < General, do you see your timezone set there?  If so, what do you see?  If not, you can try setting it to see if the issue goes away after doing so.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jaime,
Yes, it is set, and has been – to UTC -6. I am starting to wonder if the theme may be the issue. The gameplan theme is 1.3.7 but the version could be updated to 1.4.4. I’m porting the site over to a new server here shortly and while it is in testing mode, will update everything including the php to see if that helps when it gets pointed live again. Let me know if you come up with anything else I can try in the meantime!

Great, will do!  And let me know how that goes!

    Have a great weekend!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
