Hi there, I’m trying to install this plugin in my site (https://marketplace.appthemes.com/plugins/critic/)

When I do, I get the following error message from events -> Warning: strpos() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /………………………………../the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Aggregator/Errors.php on line 94

    Do you what it is?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike!

    Thanks for getting in touch!

That seems a strange issue. We are not aware of any conflict with that other plugin. But let me help you troubleshoot that.

Just to confirm, are you getting that message when installing the other plugin, or when trying to activate it?

Does it prevent you from using that other plugin or do you experience any functionality not working?

Also, when coming back, could you please share with us your system info by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello Miguel!

Thanks for sending out your system information.

The warning message you are getting does not necessarily mean there is something not working, but surely is something coming from The Events Calendar and we’d like to investigate this further. In order to do so, could you please let us know where are you seeing that message? You mentioned it appeared when trying to install the other plugin, did it show right after activating the other plugin? Please, let us know about it. You can send us a screenshot of it.

Also, the critic plugin is not available in the WordPress repository, so could you please send us a copy of it in a private reply? This way we’ll try to reproduce the error message on our end.

Regarding the other issue you are having, this can also be a theme or plugin conflict. I’m not sure what the critic plugin does, but if the issue appeared after installing it, then it might be a conflict with it. You should try deactivating it and see if anything changes. If not, then please go through the complete steps in this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let me know what you can find in the process.

Let us know how that goes.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello Miguel!

Thanks for coming back with the plugin.

With the critic plugin installed and activated and used to replace Tribe_events comments I could reproduce the PHP Warning message. I will reach out to the team to have a second pair of eyes on this and will get back to you as soon as we have an answer.

Regarding the comment box showing twice for events, this is because The Events Calendar has a built in option to enable/disable comments. You can turn this off by going to Events > Settings and unchecking the Show comments option. Let me know if this works for you.

As for the wpDiscuz Comment Author Info, I’m not really familiar with it. Could you please explain to us what is the issue you are having with it and our plugins? You can send us some screenshots or share some links with us, so we can see for ourselves.

    Thanks,
    Victor
