GuestI run a music blog and want to have a concert listings calendar for my city (Montreal). Do I need to manually enter all concerts myself or is there some way to pull that information from somewhere on the web?
ThanksMarch 16, 2018 at 11:32 am #1481513Courtney
MemberHi Steve
Event Aggregator can import events from Facebook, Google/iCal, Meetup, and other sites using The Events Calendar. Would this work for you?
Do note, Event Aggregator is a separate plugin from and does not require Events Calendar Pro. You only need to install our free The Events Calendar plugin and activate the Event Aggregator license.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

GuestThanks. So if I wanted to pull events from companies that put on events like this one would I need their permission first do you know?

MemberHi Steve
You wouldn’t need permission really to import public Facebook events. Typically the only time we suggest requesting more is when you want to use events from someone’s site that is not using The Events Calendar already and you need a special format.
Does that make sense?
Thanks

ParticipantOk, thank you. So we can only list the next 3 months of concerts. That’s not ideal, unfortunately. Any way around this, please?

GuestAlso, when people click on “next events” it takes them to the bottom of the next page when it should take them to the top surely?
Any way to fix this please?March 20, 2018 at 4:08 am #1483748Courtney
MemberHi Steve
You can change how far in advance that future imports will work by going to Events ยป Settings ยป Imports ยป Import Limit Type.
Are you still having the same experience when selecting “next events”? When I try to replicate, it does not jump to the bottom of a page.
Thanks

ParticipantIt’s when you scroll to the bottom of the events and then click “next events”. It goes to the same spot on the next page so you then have to scroll back to the top.

MemberHey Steve
What browser are you using? When I follow your steps using Chrome, it does not jump to the bottom.
Thanks

GuestIt happens in both Chrome and Safari. Not from the top “Next Events” button, only from the bottom one which I think most people would use.

MemberHi Steve
I’ve asked a few people on our team to test this, and none were able to replicate the issue. Can you try to clear your cache and test again? https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en
Also, when we check for Javascript errors Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors, we have noticed you are missing a Google Maps API key. This shouldn’t be a big issue, but to ensure your maps display, check out https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/.
Let me know if the Next Page issue happens after clearing the cache.
Thanks

ParticipantAre they clicking the one at the top or bottom of the page?
The one at the bottom isn’t working correctly for anyone I’ve asked so far.I’ve updated the API key so should be working ok now I think.
Thanks

MemberHi Steve
Here’s what I’m seeing when I try to replicate the problem: https://drive.google.com/a/tri.be/file/d/1p1ECZRBQM_TZwjt7xzXvwLdLoZtC7RlG/view?usp=drivesdk
I used https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/ to record this for free.
Can you share a recording with me? I really want to be sure we are seeing what you are.
Thanks

ParticipantOk I couldn’t work out how to record a video but these screenshots are a before and after. All I did in between was click “Next Events”
As you can see it just takes people to the bottom of the next page. I’m confused as to why it’s not the same your end. You seem to be the only one getting to the top of the next page after clicking. Very odd. -
