Hi, I’m working on a client website that that need the community events form to have a reCAPTCHA but when i add the it to the APIs section and save all the settings of the plugging resets to default so the field like “Allow anonymous submissions” is unchecked, if i change and save the options in the community events tab the reCAPTCHA APIs keys are empty again.
Can you help me with that problem?
February 20, 2017 at 2:29 pm #1242444CliffMemberHi, Dor. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
I tried replicating this issue but couldn’t, so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Sixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please re-share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode). That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

Also, after you enter the the Site Key and the Secret Key and afterward changing the settings in the Community Tab you will not see the Site Key and the Secret Key in the APIs tab but in the front end you will still will be required to the G-recaptcha-response and the Anti-Spam fields. so once you enter the reCaptcha you can’t undo it and you’ll not be able to submit the form regularly.
February 21, 2017 at 4:17 pm #1243402CliffMemberDor, per your System Information Report, your plugins are not at the latest versions. Please update to the latest versions of all Modern Tribe plugins and see if you can still replicate it.
Also, in the event that doesn’t resolve this issue, please include a video screen capture to make sure I’m testing (trying to replicate) exactly how you are.
Thank you.
