I want to have a Community Events Plugin that will allow others to post their events and be a drop down on my main menu bar. I ALSO want an Events Plugin that does NOT allow others to post their events and be a drop down on my main menu bar. Can that be done?

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can answer your questions.

Community Events Plugin requires the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

The core version enables event creation from the admin, while Community Events creates events from the front end.

Both those events are stored in the same place in the admin.

Check out our New User Primer for how Community Events works:

    New User Primer: Community Events

You can see the same New User Primer for the core version as well:

New User Primer: The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

Based on your response and the links you provided, it appears that I can’t separate the two on my site if it all goes right into one main holding spot. Thanks.

Yep, there is only one place to store events using our plugins.

Since this is marked resolved I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic on the forum and we can help you out.

    Thanks
