ParticipantI have the community events pro plugin set up on the site cityofhawarden.com and people in the community are able to set up events and submit them. I have Send an email alert when a new event is submitted checked in the backend BUT none of the emails get an email when someone submits. I need this resolved asap!
See screenshot.

KeymasterHi Travis,
Thanks for reaching out and for using our products!
I’m sorry to hear that you are having an issue with receiving emails for Community Events. Have you ever received the emails from the creation of new community events? I am wondering if something caused those emails to stop sending, if that is the case.
One other thing to note is that sometimes these emails can end up in your spam folder. You can check there as well, just in case.
And just one more question: are you experiencing issues with other emails on your site, such as when a new User is created?
In the meantime, you can view the user-submitted events under Events—>Drafts, which you may have to check periodically until you receive emails again.
Also, would you mind providing us with your system information? This way, I can see if there is anything that sticks out there and make sure that everything is up to date.
Here is a link that can walk you through how to do that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Once I have some more information, I’d be happy to help you to solve your issue!

KeymasterHi Travis,
Thanks so much for providing me with that information and for answering my questions!
Just to confirm, you are saying that you receive emails from WordPress related to other things, such as new Users being created, correct? You may want to check with your hosting provider to see if the emails are going through on their end.
Although you have provided us with login credentials, we unfortunately try not to log in to customer’s sites, and would prefer if you provided the system information yourself. Here is the link again for your reference: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
In the meantime, please make sure that you are running the most recent versions of your plugins, especially Community Events. As a first step, you may want to test for conflicts, if you haven’t already done so. This article can walk you through the steps: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!

KeymasterGreat, thank you for providing us with that information. I’m sorry that you are still having this issue, I know this can be frustrating, so thank you for your patience.
A few next steps to consider:
- I would start by updating The Events Calendar Pro and Community Events. There are more recent versions of both of these plugins, and that may help to fix your issue.
- Try to set up a different type of test email, such as a new User, so that you can confirm if other types of emails are getting sent properly.
- Contact your host to see if emails are going through there.
Finally, I noticed that you do have Easy WP SMTP set up on your site, which was going to be my next suggestion. If you are using this plugin for your emails, the issue may be related to the way you have things configured there. Are you sending your emails through their servers? This tends to be a great option if emails are not being sent properly through WordPress. If you have any questions for them, you can post in their forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/easy-wp-smtp
You can continue to check for submitted Community Events in the Drafts folder under Events for now, until the emails work. Once you update your plugins and move through the steps I mentioned, let me know how it goes!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
