    Hi,
I have installed and set up our Community Events. I set the default status for submitted event to “Draft” but when I submit an event nothing shows up under “Draft” or “Published”. I also don’t receive an email (I am able to receive emails from other forms).

My event submission page is at http://idahohighcountry.org/events/submit/add.

When I submit an event the page just reloads with no notice that the event was submitted. Users would have not idea whether it was successful or not.

I set up the Captcha key.
Allow anonymous submissions box is checked.

    Thanks for your help!
    Ann

    Hi Ann,

What you’ve described doesn’t sound typical and also doesn’t resemble any logged bugs in our reports. With that said, would you mind confirming whether the issue exists after reviewing our Testing for conflicts guide? Let me know how that goes and we’ll continue investigating. Have a great week and thanks for choosing us for your events calendar needs!

    Cheers!

    Hi Hunter,
I just finished disabling all of my plugins except for your Event Calendar plugins and switched to the 2012 theme. None of it made any difference. I also uninstalled your CE plugin and reinstalled it.
Does the Community Events plugin require PHP 5.5 or higher? I am on GoDaddy Managed WordPress and they are stuck on PHP 5.4 until they can work around some security problems.
If you don’t have any other suggestions on how to resolve the problem I will need to get a refund and create my own form.
    Thanks again,
    Ann

    Hi Ann,

Quoted from this Knowledgebase article, it appears you may to need to request a refund due to the outdated version of PHP your site is currently using:

Our requirements are the same as WordPress: we require at least WP 4.4, PHP 5.6 and jQuery 1.7. We always recommend that you update to the latest version of WordPress available.

Let me know if you have any more questions and I’d be happy to answer. Have a great rest of your week!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
