MemberGood evening Malcolm and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the plugin rejecting your attempt to charge 20pence.
I would love to help you with this topic.I went ahead and tried to reproduce the issue, but unfortunately I was unable to do so.
This is why I have a couple of questions for you.As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ? (following the instructions found in the link)
Would you mind also telling me which e-commerce plugin you are using (WooCommerce, EDD, etc..) for your tickets ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberHey Malcom,
Thanks for the reply and the system information.
There is one last piece of information I would require for testing purposes.
Would you mind sharing a screenshot link of your settings for WooCommerce -> Settings -> General (specifically the currency options) ?
Have a great day!

MemberThank you for sharing your information Malcolm.
So I went ahead on a basic WordPress installation with your WooCommerce currency settings and I was able to sell tickets for .2 without any issue while creating tickets in the backend.
Just out of curiosity are you trying to create these tickets in the backend as well or are you doing so using the Community Tickets front-end version of things ?
Other than that, it looks like there might be either a plugin or a theme conflict at play here.
The fastest way to find out is to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
I realize this might be time consuming provided the large number of plugins involved, but that is still the fastest way.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberHey Malcom,
Actually this is not due to a conflict, but rather to a fix provided with the latest update. We apologize for the confusion created by the nature of these messages.
Would you mind reactivating the proper plugins manually in your plugins page and checking if the issue still persists ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberHey Malcolm,
It’s a bummer reactivating the plugins did not cut it.
At this point, we’ll have to dig a lot deeper to figure what’s causing this.I appreciate your patience while we do that.
- Here a couple of requests / questions for you:
- You did not confirm going through the testing procedure ? Could you please do that and if you haven’t already, let me know what happens when you are left with only the Events Calendar plugins, WooCommerce and a default WordPress theme ?
- Could you share with me a link to a screenshot of your attempt at creating a 50 pence ticket (the details of the said ticket) as well as the exact error message you are receiving (ideally a screenshot as well).
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberHey Malcolm,
Thank you for your answer and for your offer to log in. Unfortunately, our policy does not allow us to log in to clients websites for several reasons, including liability.
Regarding your question, we will officially integrate media uploads on our forums very soon. But in the meantime, you can totally use a simple link to something like DropBox, Google Drive, Cloudup, etc… .
But that being said, I think I have a solution for you.
Could you try using 0.2 as a value for your flat fee ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantGeoff!
Your a hero – thank you very much. I’m awfully intrigued as to how you achieved success there!April 7, 2016 at 9:20 am #1099599Geoff B.
MemberGood afternoon Malcolm,
I’m stocked to see that this worked out for you! Kudos!
How I achieved this is I went deep in the code to find out how the validation worked for this field. Basically it uses a validation type called “positive decimal” for some reason, that validation is not “smart enough” to convert .5 to 0.5 on it’s own. So I thought we would just give it a hand 😉
You are welcome back on our support forums any time
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!
Geoff B.
