GuestIt is not really explained anywhere what event creators have available to them to handle checking in people that purchase tickets. I am doing my due diligence to compare as best I can apples to apples the different event organizer solutions available to us. Some I have found offer apps for IOS and Android and Desktop options. All the mentioned options allow the event creator to login to non branded or white labeled check in interfaces with a unique api key provided to them for the event they created. They are instructed to use the api key and the site url to log into these check in interfaces to allow all the people that will be assisting to check into an event. I have attended many events where there are many personnel tasked with checking in attendees. I am looking for the ability for ticket creators to have a place for their check in helpers to only have access to ticket check in duties and not the entire event details to be able to edit. Do you have anything close to what I described here for community events and Community tickets users?

ModeratorHi Richard,
Welcome to our Pre-Sales Questions Channel and I hope your New Year is off to a great start! To answer your question simply, yes, Community Events and Community Tickets would allow event organizers to check in attendees from the front end of your site.
Each organizer’s events will be located at: [your-site]/events/community/list. From there, they can view the Attendee reports for each event and check in attendees from that same screen.
We have a 30-day money back Refunds policy which allows ample time to test things out to make sure they’re going to work for your project.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions and have a great rest of the week. Cheers!

GuestSo the event creators will give their login username and password to 8 people that are tasked at various checkin windows? Do these people doing the checking in have access to edit the event on any way?

ModeratorHello,
We limit who can check in attendees to specific roles. If any user was allowed to check attendees in, it could potentially cause problems for the event organizers. A workaround is to use a plugin such as User Role Editor and create a specific role for checking in tickets, though I haven’t done this myself so I’m unsure of the exact process. This Admin roles and permissions KB article also might come in handy.
Let me know if this helps and have a good evening!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
