    Hi,

The check-in button in the attendee list is disabled (see attachment). Can you tell me how to fix this.

When I hover over the ticket I can check-in through a link.

    Thanks

    Anne-Marie

    Hi Anne-Marie,

Sorry to hear you have hit up against difficulties: that really is pretty strange!

I’m unsure why that would happen, especially for attendees linked with completed orders. Have you been able to try our standard troubleshooting steps? In this case, that would basically mean keeping the following active:

    • The Events Calendar
    • Event Tickets
    • Event Tickets Plus
    • Easy Digital Downloads

Deactivating everything else and switching to a default theme, such as Twenty Seventeen – then seeing if the same thing happens. Alternatively, to avoid disruption on your live site, you might prefer to create a test site (if you don’t already have one this can be as simple as a fresh WordPress installation inside a subdirectory, ie example.com/test) and start with only the above plugins, then – assuming the same problem cannot be replicated – begin adding the same plugins and ultimately the same theme as you use on the live site and see if any trigger this behaviour.

Would it be possible to give those steps a try?

    Hi,

Before I did what you suggested I looked again and saw that the button is grayed out but works.

After that I deactivated all plugins (except the events calendar + tickets), changed the theme to twenty-sixteen. The checkin button remains grayed out.

    Best regards,
    Anne-Marie

    Thanks for clarifying!

This appears to be a valid bug and – as such – I’ve logged a bug ticket and we’ll do our best to update you as soon as a fix is available.

Though not ideal, the workaround for the time being is simply to continue using the buttons as you have been doing (since they still allow you to check users in).

    Hi Anne-Marie!

Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, in which we are no longer able to reproduce the issue described here. This means that it may have been fixed before while working on other fixes/improvements.

Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-9-july-2018/

Please also note that we have subsequently shipped a hotfix for The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets → https://theeventscalendar.com/announcing-the-events-calendar-4-6-20-1-events-calendar-pro-4-4-29-1-and-event-tickets-4-7-5-1/

Please update the plugins and let us know if it works for you.

    Best,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
