ParticipantWhen I have the Events Calendar Pro enabled I get several backend problems:
– I get an “Http error” every time I try to upload media
– the widgets screen is blank so I can’t make any changes to the widgets
– the customize screen only has a link that says “edit add events calendar” and a heading that says “Events Calendar”
– the Appearance–>Menus screen shows everything except the selected menu, so you cannot add, remove, or rearrange any menu itemsAs soon as I disable the plugin all those problems go away. I think there are more that I am missing too. How can I solve these conflicts? I just told a client to go ahead and pay to renew his Pro subscription instead of finding another calendar solution and now I’m thinking we may have been better switching to something else.

ParticipantI’m sorry to hear about all of this, @Barrybradford! I do not have any of this behavior so it sounds like there are some specific conflicts on your site.
To help investigate this, can you share your “System Information” with us? Here’s how → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
I’ll take a closer look with this information and see what I can learn.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey @Barrybradford,
Thank you for sharing all of this information!
Your Events Calendar plugins are all up-to-date, so at this point in time the most likely reason for the issues you are experiencing is a theme or plugin code conflict. The reason for this being so likely is that I cannot recreate any of the same issues you describe here, and we have no other reports of similar behavior.
I would thus recommend doing the complete set of troubleshooting steps outlined in this article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
After EACH STEP in that article, look at EACH ISSUE you listed in your first post of this thread.
Do you see changes in behavior anywhere along the way?
Let us know what you find!
Thank you,
GeorgeApril 1, 2016 at 11:35 am #1097178barrybradford
ParticipantHi George,
I do not receive the email notifications for your replies and I didn’t see your last reply. You reply very quickly, so I’ll make sure to check back here soon!
I am still having all of the listed problems, but I was able to resolve an issue that was not listed in the original post, which was the text editor not loading on the add/edit event page.
The rest of the problems listed here are still occurring and I have narrowed the conflict down to the JetPack plugin and The Events Calendar Pro plugin specifically (There is no conflict with “The Events Calendar” plugin). The problems do not occur with the JetPack plugin active unless it is also connected to the WordPress.com account. Once JetPack is connected the problems show up.
I have made sure to update JetPack and all TEC plugins.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

ParticipantThank you for the followup!
What you wrote here is interesting and worth investigating for sure:
Once JetPack is connected the problems show up.
In the meantime, I’m wondering if you can confirm that when you said you updated all TEC plugins, do you mean that all of your plugins are now at version 4.1.1?
If not, can you update to 4.1.1 for The Events Calendar and all of its add-on plugins? We published that update yesterday and it’s got a bunch of fixes in it; it could make a difference here….
I will start exploring the Jetpack compatibility issues in the meantime.
Thank you!

ParticipantOnce again, thank you for the rapid response.
When I said I updated the plugins I was indeed referring to 4.1.1 and the issue is still there.
Thank you George.

ParticipantThank you for confirming all of this!
I am puzzled here—I do not have these issues on my site, whether Jetpack is connected or not.
I will keep tinkering and exploring, but in the meantime, can you open up a support ticket with your webhost? There might be something on the server level at play here.
