I’m sorry that you have not able to get to the submission form for Community Events!
The Events Calendar (our standard events plugin) is actually required for Community Events, so you do not need to disable it.
You can find the link to the community event submission page by going to Events > Community: Submit Event from the admin bar at the top of the screen (see screenshot). If you haven’t done so already, I’d also recommend taking a look at this article, which has some good information on getting set up with Community Events.
