GuestHi
We are a sports event management company that present around 10 events a year.
In the past I have used Event Espresso to manage our online registration for these various events. The one feature that is extremely useful is the ability to have a custom entry confirmation email for different events. This allows me to add event specific information to the entry confirmation email that users get after entering for that event.
I am really interested in using Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce as we want to add products to our site as well, so it makes sense to try and minimise the various plugins being used, and I like the fact that using woocommerce + event tickets plus will allow us to keep the users on our site for the whole process.
That said, it is vital for me to be able to create custom entry confirmation emails for different events / tickets.
Is this possible? Please advise 🙂
Thanks

MemberHi Sian!
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
With Event Tickets Plus you have the ability to assign a “ticket header image” for your events so that they display on emailed tickets.
Unfortunately, there is no built-in way to customize each of your events ticket emails. However, you could achieve that with some custom coding.
As a reference, let me point you to the following article that will get you started on how you can customize our templates, including the ticket email template >Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
If you also want to show event specific information in the WooCoomerce order emails, you can do so in a similar way the following extension does by adding event and attendee information >Â https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/add-event-and-attendee-information-to-woocommerce-order-details/
I hope that helps! Let me know if any follow up questions.

GuestHi Victor
Thanks for coming back to me. I have some ideas on how to maybe get
around this specific shortcoming by using our autoresponder software to
send event info specific emails after a user completes a sale …How can I demo the events tickets plus with woocommerce to see if it
will work for me without having to buy a license? I want to see what the
backend data exports look like, how I can export all event ticket sale
info etc. I will use custom forms quite extensively as each event we do
has specific info requirements we need to collect. We then use this data
in our timekeeping software etc so I need to make sure the data exports
also work for us too.I don’t want to spend the $89 only to find out it doesn’t work for us.
Do you have a money back / cancellation option on the purchase in the
case we discover it doesn’t work for us? Or alternatively a trial
version? The free event tickets plugin only shows extremely rudimentary
stuff and none of the functionality I am really looking for. Please let me know asap.
I have a month to get our new site up and running. I know event espresso
works, but I am looking for additional functionality on an e-commerce
level, so am hoping your plugin will work for me.March 19, 2018 at 10:38 am #1483157Victor
MemberHi Sian!
Thank you for following up with this.
We don’t have a demo site or license for you to try, but we do have a pretty good refund policy >Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/Â so you can ask for a full refund of the payment within 30-day of purchase.
I hope that helps. Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know 🙂

GuestHi Victor
One more question please – can I use a shortcode to determine where I want the ticket placed when using a theme like Divi for example? And how much customisation can I do to the overall ticket layout?
Thanks

MemberHi Sian!
That really depends on each theme and the template you select to show your events.
I don’t think Divi has a built-in customizer for our events templates, but if you follow our themer’s guide, you can customize the look and feel of your events and tickets templates to your liking.
Additionally, we have an extensions library that you might want to check out. Some are indeed customizations made to specific templates >Â https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/

ParticipantHi Victor
Ok so I have bought event tickets plus and so far it looks like it will meet my needs.
I do have a question regarding custom field types & field validation.
I can allow one user to purchase multiple entries (tickets) – however, for each of these the personal details will be different (eg. me buying entries for a bunch of my mates to a race).
So I create custom name, surname, email, tel number etc fields for the ticket in question, and these need to be filled for each entry/ticket – however as I can only use a text field for this kind of info, there is no way I can see to validate that the emails are at least in correct format, or that a number field only takes numbers and not letters.
Is there any way to achieve this, or will this be a feature you will add at some point (hopefully soon)?
I see a request for this was posted here a while back but nothing seems to have happened.
Thanks

MemberHi Sian!
Glad to know that Event Tickets Plus will meet your needs.
That type of validation for attendee information is not a built-in functionality of our plugin. However, it could be achieved with some custom coding in place.
I can surely see the use of having such functionality, but unfortunately we don’t have that as planned feature in the near future.
In the meantime, I’d suggest you add your vote to that idea in our user voice.
