Hi Al. I’m speaking with John, our developer, about this tomorrow (Wednesday) to see if we can get this updated by the end of the week so everything’s functional as it should. I’ll post that here in the forum once it’s confirmed/set.

If you wish to downgrade between now and then, shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) and I can work with you to get that taken care of.

    Hey Rob,

Thanks, I’ll see it out until the end of the week, then if it’s not ready I’ll shoot you an email on Monday.

    Cheers,

Rob, If anyone has gotten ECP 2 working with GF, I’d love to know how. I’ve been struggling with it for weeks. Any chance someone will share the code?

    Hey Christina & Al,

John poked at it today and noticed that the issue had to do with some new security measures we put in based upon the recommendations of the core team. John said he could update the tutorial to provide a new approach and is working on it. We’ll let you know as soon as he has a working solution.

Hey folks. If you check out this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/integration-with-gravity-forms/), it should give you what you need to make this happen. Cheers!

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the update. Rob I didn’t see a confirmed solution to the problems people were having in that thread, but hopefully something will be fully functioning by weeks end.

In a delightful sub-tangent, what is everyone being for Halloween!? I’m being “Day Man” from Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Hey Al. Believe we’ve got it nailed down; there was some missing code that got stripped out in our issue tracker. I’ll update the article (https://theeventscalendar.com/event-submissions-using-gravity-forms-in-2-0/) we’ve got on this shortly this afternoon. Let me know if you’re still having issues from there.

    Hey guys,

Soo I’m stuck. I don’t think I know exactly where to put the added code in the functions.php. Here is a copy of my functions.php:

    http://bit.ly/uFAZHN

When I try to update my functions.php, the site goes white and stops working entirely. I then have to overwrite the functions.php with the original file via FTP.

I’m not a web developer really, but I think the tutorial is pretty straight forward. What am I doing wrong?

    Cheers,

    Jeromie

Hey Al – I tried to access the file at that link, but it appears to be gone. Can you drop it into http://pastie.org/ or somewhere else where I can take a look?

    Hey Rob,

Sorry about that. Here it is in pastie: http://pastie.org/2837065

I had originally made a seperated hashedout column for it at the end like the other sections look like. This is the untouched version (didn’t copy and paste anything in).

    Cheers,

    Jer

Hey Al. Got the developer to take a look at this; but we’re not seeing any of the Gravity Forms-related code in the functions.php you included in that Pastie link. Did you remove it before pasting?

    Hey Rob,

“This is the untouched version (didn’t copy and paste anything in).”
    – Nov. 9th post.

When my error occured, I had put both the Gravity Forms initial code at the very end of the functions.php, after everything else, and the additional Gravity Form amended code for 2.0 right under that.

I sent the untouched functions.php because I didn’t know if there was a place it should specifically go.

    Cheers,

    Jeromie

Thanks Al. I believe you should be able to drop it wherever, but I’ll get John to confirm.
