Hello… im building my web site and im interested in a calendar plugin that helps me to assign different events per user, i would like to have all users on my website to have their own calendar. Besides, i would like to know if there is a way to upload events from a file, it would be easier for me in order to upload multiple events for multiple users.

Can you tell me if this plugin can help me or indicate one that could. Thank you in advance.

Good evening Natalia and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

im interested in a calendar plugin that helps me to assign different events per user, i would like to have all users on my website to have their own calendar

That sounds like an interesting project.

Just to confirm my understanding of what you are trying to accomplish are you:

    1. Looking for a tool that let’s you do scheduling ? (e.g.: agenda/schedule for students)
    2. Looking for a normal event calendar with “ticket” (limited availability per event) capability, alongside the possibility to display the list of different events assigned to each user ?
    3. Will you be doing all the event “assignment” manually yourself or do you need people to register ?

Besides, i would like to know if there is a way to upload events from a file, it would be easier for me in order to upload multiple events for multiple users.

We do have built-in CSV import ability: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-the-events-calendars-csv-importer/

    Best regards,

Thank you for your quick answer, let me explain better what i would like to do, im sorry my last post was´t very clear…

I have a website and i would like to offer my clients a calendar where they can see different important days. each client would have different days scheduled since they have different interests. When they access their account on my site, i would like them to see each month in a calendar with their pending tasks or events as you would like to call them.

Also i would like to send them notifications two or three days before the date, as a reminder, it would be very nice if they could receive a mail and a notification on my web site.

Since i would like to have a lot of clients, i think it would be very hard to upload each event or task manually, thats why i think it would be a great idea if i can upload the data from a css file containing for example user/date/event description.

I installed the plugin and watched the csv import feature, but in the events o in those files it specify how to assign an event to a user.

Hope this clears out what im searching for. thanks in advance.

    Good evening Natalia,

Thank you for taking the time to clarify what you are trying to accomplish.

i would like to offer my clients a calendar where they can see different important days. each client would have different days scheduled since they have different interests.

I am pretty sure this would be possible. But it would requires a fair amount of customization.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

As an alternative, you can also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

The closest thing to what you are describing is the “My events” list from our Community Events plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/

If you could find a way to customize the CSV importer to add an “author” field to our exisiting CSV supported file format (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/csv-files-options-and-examples/), I think you could pull it off.

Of course, you would also need to hide the whole “Adding event” section for them (since they would not be using it).

You would probably need to add a conditional to make sure people only view events that they are the author of in any view.

Also i would like to send them notifications two or three days before the date, as a reminder, it would be very nice if they could receive a mail and a notification on my web site.

Here again, that will require a bit of customization or the use of a third-party notification plugin, since there is no built-in feature for reminders at the moment.

That being said, we are planning on releasing that feature in the future as you can see here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/8391186-reminder-emails-for-x-days-before-event

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
