ParticipantI noticed at 10 p.m. tonight, August 20, that the calendar month view is showing today is August 21. Since I didn’t look at this earlier, I don’t know when it switched from today to tomorrow.
My WordPress Settings Timezone is set to New York and it was showing the correct current time of 10:00 p.m. on August 20 so the calendar should not have moved on to tomorrow several hours ago. When I look at the Day view, it has the correct day of August 20. It just seems to be the Month view that thinks it is tomorrow already.

ParticipantHey Cynthia,
Hm, that’s odd behavior indeed – I live on the East Coast and my local test site is literally also the “New York” timezone, and my Month View’s been accurate with dates thus far with no issue….
I’m wondering if you could set your site timezone setting to the numeric version of this timezone, “UTC -4” – we had a recent bug uncovered where the “named” timezones like “New York” produce issues with the Facebook Importer specifically, but switching to UTC worked fine. Perhaps there’s a similar bug like that happening here – let us know if you do this and, if so, what you find (though it might take a day or two, of course, to notice if it jumps ahead later in the evening).
In the meantime, can you clarify if you’ve made any customizations to your theme or to The Events Calendar templates at all? It seems you have a child theme active, so I’m wondering if that’s at play somehow, too (though it shouldn’t be).
Odd issue Cynthia – sorry you’ve encountered it. Let us know what you think about some of the points I rose and we can go from there!
Thanks,

ParticipantThanks. I’ve changed it to UTC-4 and will keep an eye on it this evening.

ParticipantThanks for the update Cynthia – we’re working hard on figuring out why this is happening, which is still a bit unclear, and will fix it as soon as possible!
Cheers,

ParticipantI have this problem too. I only started noticing since I updated all the plugins (pro, community) this week. I changed my time from “Los Angeles” to UTC-7 but that is still not fixing it. It’s 6pm here and the calendar has today grayed out like it’s already tomorrow.

ParticipantHi,
I am having the same issue here. I am using UTC-4, I live near Pittsburgh and my date is showing Tuesday the 2nd on my calendar…2 days off. I just updated my plugins 2 days ago, and I just noticed the issue.
Thank you,

ParticipantHi,
I noticed this morning that my calendar is showing the right date, so I am not sure when during the night that it switched days, but my calendar widget at the bottom of the page is still showing Tuesday.
Thank you,

ParticipantHey Folks,
I’m really sorry that you’ve all been stricken with this issue!
On my local testing site, things still work well for me regardless of the time zone I set, and I cannot recreate a “bug” here. That would normally lead me to suspect that there’s a plugin or theme conflict here, but those are usually pretty unique, so the fact that there are 3 of you all reporting this behavior undermines that theory…
So, for all three of you (@Cynthia, @jskk123, @inkmouse2), can you please each share your “system information”, which you can learn to do here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ?
I’m sorry for how slow this thread’s been moving – thank you for your patience over the weekend! – but with all of your system information, we can look for patterns and also get some more accurate site profiles and try to recreate things more accurately from that.
In closing, for now – do any of you have multiple sites with The Events Calendar? If so, then do you have this same issue on both sites? If not, then what is different about the sites? You can even share System Information for both sites, if you’d like, just be sure to label them “Site that Works” and “Site that doesn’t work” or something 🙂
Thanks all for your patience. We obviously take our time and date-related functionality quite seriously and will work diligently with you in this thread to see what’s going on. I eagerly await your replies and will continue trying to recreate your reported bugs here on my own testing sites.
Thank you!

ParticipantI have multiple sites. One has the problem and the other doesn’t.
The one w/o the issue: hosted w/godaddy, no events currently, week starts on Monday
the one WITH the issue: hosted w/bluehost, plenty of events, weeks starts on Sunday
I’ll send more info privately.August 31, 2015 at 6:32 pm #1000755jskk123

ParticipantThank you all for your patience with this!
I unfortunately don’t spot any patterns with your system information and am still unable to reproduce this on my testing site.
For anyone with a site which has these issues, can you run through our complete set of troubleshooting steps here? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
These steps will help reveal whether or not there’s a plugin or theme conflict at play here.
Let us know if you can do these steps and, if so, what you notice. Does the behavior of these issues change at all anywhere along the way?
Thank you!
