    Hello all,

I’m having an issue with one of my calendars not importing automatically. I can go through an run it manually with no issue. We’ve setup a new import a few times just to make sure there wasn’t something faulty with what was originally set up.

What could be the issue here?

    Hello Nick!

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue.

Unfortunately, we’ve had a few other users report this as well for scheduled imports and we are actively working to find a solution for this. I will attach this thread to the report so we’ll keep you posted about it.

Could you please let us know what are the import sources you are currently having the issue with?

Also, from your system information I can see you have enabled WP_DEBUG_LOG. This creates a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory. Could you please share that log file with us? This way we can see if there are any errors that will help us solve the issue.

I apologise for the inconvenience and we’d appreciate your patience.

    Best,
    Victor

The Shallowford Presbyterian import is from a Google Calendar, https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/infoshallowford%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics

Three of our calendars imports failed today with the following error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 2001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    Hello Nick!

Thanks for following up with this and for sending out the Gcal feed.

I tried the import myself and I could import it successfully.

We rolled out a new version of The Events Calendar 4.5.8.1 today that fixed an issue where failed EA Imports would hang for a long time before failing.

This could be related to your issue here, so could you please update the plugin and see if it solves the issue? Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Victor

I updated the plugin. However, when I run the import, it simply states that its placing the import in queue.

When I check the history, it show them as failed imports.

    Hello Nick!

I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work for you.

This could be something else, so we’ll need to make some deeper troubleshooting.

Could you please send us a screenshot of the Event Aggregator System Status by going to Events > Help ?

    Thanks,
    Victor

Everything appears to be working just fine in the aggregator but we still keep having to run the imports manually. I’m not really sure what we can do to help this along.

    Hi there,

Just wanted to share with you that a new maintenance release is out containing various improvements for Events Aggregator. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been released:

    • Fix – Avoid Event Aggregator previews or scheduled imports being marked as failures.
    • Fix – Fixed an issue that would sometimes render Event Aggregator options invalid even with a valid license.
    • Fix – Fixed an issues where Event Aggregator scheduled imports could not run other than manually.
    • Tweak – Improve Event Aggregator message regarding Facebook token expiration.
    • Tweak – Support importing from URLs (Event Aggregator) where the protocol hasn’t been specified by defaulting to HTTP.
    • Tweak – Added filter: tribe_aggregator_meta_source to filter the Event Aggregator import source.
    • Tweak – Added filter: tribe_events_linked_post_meta_values_{$current_linked_post_meta_key} for filtering the array of values retrieved for a specific linked post meta field.

Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-week-21-august-2017/

Please update The Events Calendar to the latest version, give it a few hours and let us know how things go. If you are still having troubles be sure to report back to us including system information, a detailed description of the issue (if it has changed in anyway since the original report) and steps to reproduce if possible. We are aware some setups might still need adjustments!

Thanks for the patience while we worked on these issues,
    Best,
    Nico

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
