Okay I have waited and it did not auto load and then I tried the manual domain/wp-cron.php and it did not do it..
April 16, 2015 at 5:02 am #955984JamesParticipantWell I am honestly not sure why it triggered the one time. I have repeated all the steps and get no results. I even went into the backend and set up a cron task to run through my host to trigger the wp=cron.php and nothing happened.
SO I am at a loss. I have some other plugins that auto post to facebook pages without issues. Auto backups run without issues. this is the only one that does not automatically work and it is important so I do not have to keep manually entering for other people.
So at a lost, I spoke with my isp and they said there is nothing that should be out of the ordinary. HELP Please?
April 16, 2015 at 5:05 am #955985JamesParticipantIn case this helps this is all that is running though I have previously disabled all and moved to a default template with no change in results:

April 16, 2015 at 8:11 am #956040BarryMemberMight it be the age of the FB app? I am using a new APP but I do have an older one.
Just to clarify, are you referring to app “accounts” on Facebook itself?
If so it’s not impossible there is a connection here. Are you able to test with the older of the two and see if things work then?
April 16, 2015 at 8:14 am #956043JamesParticipantokay changed to the older app ID and will see what happens.
April 16, 2015 at 8:16 am #956045BarryMember… I just noticed your update in this other topic:
After installing the cron manager I did attempt to set up the running of the cron listed as tribe_fb_auto_import set at a time frame of 5 minutes and left the hourly on too. Neither automatically ran. however from the cron manager I could manually execute and it imported. I then deleted the event in my events and looked at the importer it returned to the list as if it was not previously imported. So then I ran the domainname/wp-cron.php (with onscreen reporting turned on) I could see it attempted to run my postie cron and then this cron and it imported.
That’s some good troubleshooting, please do let us know the outcome 🙂
April 16, 2015 at 8:52 am #956054JamesParticipantokay I think I am making progress. I did set up a cron to run from the back end it is executing. It is as if the facebook cron is not being seen or ran. The first log is with postie disabled and the other plugins disabled, the second is with the other all the plugins enabled…
This is the log report 1 all disabled but modern tribe plugins:

April 16, 2015 at 9:36 am #956068JamesParticipantIt seems to me now that I have a cron running from my servers backend executing the wp-cron.php and sending a log each time. I have it set for 15 minutes, mostly so I can see the cron is attempting to run rather then waiting a hour.
It seems to me as the logs regularly show the Postie running with details of the exchange, but I am not convinced the Facebook importer is calling or triggering correctly.
Line one of the log that is emailed to me shows the following:
The Events Calendar Log: Initializing Tribe Events on Apr, 16th at 04:04:10 pm check_postieStarting mail fetch
I see it says initializing Tribe Events (I believe this is referring to your plugin) however nothing further is returned.
Does this make sense? It is for this reason I think the issue is within the automation of the importer itself.
April 16, 2015 at 11:12 am #956106BarryMemberHi James,
On looking back it looks like you copied the System Information from the Help screen into a reply: one thing I don’t see there is an entry that ought to be present if automated imports have been enabled.
Can you visit Events → Settings → Facebook and double check that automated imports are enabled (there is a checkbox close to the import frequency dropdown).
If it is enabled, can you disable, save, re-enable and save again – and see if that makes a difference? Could you also share (by private reply) a fresh copy of the system information from the Events → Help screen after following this step?
Thanks!
April 16, 2015 at 11:22 am #956109JamesParticipantnot sure why it did not show you that but yes it is and has been selected from day 1
Auto import from Facebook (checked)
If selected, events will be automatically imported from Facebook at the set interval.April 16, 2015 at 12:15 pm #956120JamesParticipantokay had a different error message this time and perhaps it will help you! THis was generated form the wp-cron.com

April 16, 2015 at 2:53 pm #956139JamesParticipantIs there a cron or specific php file I can set up as a cron job on my server to run, the auto FB import?
I am not sure were the cron is that is showing in my cron manager plugin for tribe_fb_auto_import for I have searched and not found that specific file, but perhaps if I knew where to call this from I can auto execute it?
Does this make sense?
April 17, 2015 at 5:23 am #956239JamesParticipantI did see another error related to wp-cron and a plugin backup wordpress “wp-cron.php is returning a 403 Forbidden ” I goggled this and found an issue with Bulletproof which I am not running but I am running Wordfence. I have reached out to their support, but perhaps this means something more to you???
Is there certain eprmissions I should have on my wp-cron.php file? 711 or what?
April 17, 2015 at 6:34 am #956247JamesParticipantOkay a little more research I believe the issue is due to the following error being generated:
wp-cron.php is returning a 403 Forbidden response which could mean cron jobs aren’t getting fired properly. How do we resolve this?
