ParticipantHi,
Is there a way to edit the additional Attendee Metadata associated with a specific ticket? Referring to the attached .jpg I’m interested in editing the Meal Selection and/or Attendee Name. These are required inputs but may need modifications after the order is placed but before the event takes place. Any suggestions on how to do this?

KeymasterHi Pete,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
The best way to be able to achieve what you are describing is to try a third-party plugin, like User Switching, so that you can switch to the user that you are trying to edit.
Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions on this topic!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi,
I’m not quite sure how this third party plugin would provide any assistance in doing what I want. I still don’t see any functionality to edit an order once placed. Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks,

ParticipantOkay, I think I see where you might be headed with the third party plugin. Are you thinking of using the “View My Tickets” capability (see attached .jpg), and then updating the tickets using the Update Tickets button? If so that would work but I can’t seem to update my own tickets right now! I saw another support ticket with the same issue, not being able to update the tickets. Any ideas?
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Pete,
Yes, my thought with the third-party plugin was that you could switch to the user that you are trying to edit, and then edit their tickets from the front-end as that user.
Had you previously been able to update your tickets? If the functionality just stopped working, can you start off by running through our testing for conflicts procedure, to see if there is a conflict between a version of our plugin and another plugin, theme, or customization on your site?
Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantI have disabled all plugins with the exception of Tribe Event Cal, Event Ticket, Event Ticket Plus, etc. and still have the same issue. I see that there is a new post reporting this same issue this morning. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/users-cant-edit-additional-attendee-information/
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Pete,
Thanks for going through those procedures. Unfortunately, as you have found elsewhere, this is related to a known bug that we are currently working on resolving.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.
I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through. Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
