    Hi,

    Just some quick pre-sale questions:

    1. Is there a place we can view an event sales page and the screenshots of the step by step when purchasing?
    2. Are the tickets images within an email or are they an attached PDF?

    Thanks

    Hi Mike!

Thanks for getting in touch with us! Let me help you with those questions.

    1. You can get a preview of an event selling tickets in our demo site > https://wpshindig.com/event/event-tickets-demo/ In addition, you can see some screenshots for our Event Tickets plugin here > https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
Let me also point you to the following article that will get you started on how to set up tickets for your events > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-event-tickets/ so you can get a sense of the process of making tickets for your events.
    2. Ticket images are attached in the ticket email that gets sent to the user when they purchase a ticket. We also have the following extension that allows you to attach the tickets as PDF > https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/pdf-tickets/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to help.

    Best,
    Victor

I’m not seeing the tickets as an attached PDF. And where can I edit the look of the PDF itself to make it look more like a ticket?

And I’m guessing I need an additional plugin to auto-approve a sale even if it’s a free pass?

    thanks

Hi, Mike. The PDF Tickets extension is essentially “printing” the email itself to a PDF and then attaching that same PDF to the email.

If you want to modify the layout of both the email and the attached PDF, you can follow our Themer’s Guide to override the email.php file in Event Tickets (not Event Tickets Plus)

Are you saying you want a separate template for the PDF that is different than the email?

    Hi,

We’ve done a number of tests for tickets but none of them are showing up as “attached” pdfs.

In most cases it’s asking us to download the image.

In the past we’ve had problems with something similar. Attendees show up and the QR code isn’t on the printout.

How can we troubleshoot the PDF tickets to make sure the settings are correct?

    Hi Mike!

Thanks for following up with this.

If you are not receiving the PDF ticket attached to the ticket email, then it could be a theme or plugin conflict, in which case we recommend you go through the complete steps in our testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/. This will help to narrow the problem down.

Also, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.

Finally, please share with us your system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/. We’ll see if there is anything strange that would indicate an error from there.

To customize the look and feel of the ticket email you can use one of the methods described in our Themer’s Guide like Cliff mentioned. The email.php template file you’ll need to target is located at /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/

Please let me know how that goes.

    Thanks,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
